Do you really think the pool of candidates for those two jobs would be similar? I don’t.Some of the candidates that didn't get the Ballantyne Ridge job....
Not necessarily, but I mean I'm sure a few would be interested. Maybe not the top guys, as crazy as it sounds to say that with Butler, there's a lot that needs to be addressed with that situation in a now short period of time to be competitive next season.Do you really think the pool of candidates for those two jobs would be similar? I don’t.
Anytime you mention Butler, Tripp Stone comes to mind. I have no idea if he would still want the job now or not.Ferebee out at Butler. Where do they go from here?
I posted about this back in March based off what I heard. I am not surprised.Ferebee out at Butler. Where do they go from here?
Just needed a bus driver with the talent Chambers had at that time.Crazy what talent and a locked in culture will do for you. Took over Chambers from Brand and the results were great.
I never thought or said that it was a great hire. Videos on social media don't win football games.Everyone talked about how great of a hire this was. Yet, here we are.
First losing season since what their first year?
Think we all know the wrong decision was made here. Tripp Stone was the obvious choice.
I think most people questioned the hiring. Bigdad was one of the few that thought it was a great hire. Butler traditionally hired from within and they had an amazing coaching staff to pick from so the decision was questionable. I am of the opinion that Brand would have eventually won at Chambers based off the insane amount of talent they had. I think people felt Ferebee is a good coach but there were questions on how good he was.Everyone talked about how great of a hire this was. Yet, here we are.

FALSE. Clearly stated they should have gone with Stone and even noted WC bringing in Helms after Knotts over a proven asst. on staff. Hiring Tripp Stone was a no brainer, but since they didn't I felt Ferebee would do very well at Butler if given a chance. Will readily admit I didn't fully quantify the change in culture aspect, or factor in how Butler's talent was not remotely similar to Chambers. Also Ferebee came into a situation where he and everyone else knew that the parents/alumni/supporters/players wanted TS.I think most people questioned the hiring. AAAAAAhhhhhhhhhhh.......the parents.Anytime you mention Butler, Tripp Stone comes to mind. I have no idea if he would still want the job now or not.
It's a tough job now, there will be a new AD and the overall talent is not what it used to be. I'd imagine the principal would be highly involved - maybe more so than usual given the AD situation. Parents were not happy is what I've heard, so there's potential of some influence there too.
You didn’t think the Ferebee hire was a great hire for Butler at the time? Both can be true meaning you can feel Stone was the logical hire but think Ferebee was a great hire. My understanding was you liked the hire but I could be wrong.FALSE. Clearly stated they should have gone with Stone and even noted WC bringing in Helms after Knotts over a proven asst. on staff. Coach Ferebee is a great coach but this is a lesson on compatibility and making the smart hire vs. splash hire. Also on taking a complete staff vs. integration of staff. When Ferebee got to Chambers he mostly retained a great staff. At Butler it was like starting over.
Shuford, Newsome, Hales, to TS made too much sense. But Ferebee if given a chance would have had Butler high octane. Take away the first two games Butler played fairly well. As mentioned above the Rolesville game was an absolute program killer loss.
Can agree with that. Stone was the logical and best choice. They passed on Stone. Ferbee was a great hire all things considered. Stone just made too much sense. You didn’t think the Ferebee hire was a great hire for Butler at the time? Both can be true meaning you can feel Stone was the logical hire but think Ferebee was a great hire. My understanding was you liked the hire but I could be wrong.
Yup. Former AD has to be given the blame. What a total disaster ignited by the former AD. It was so simple but he put his stamp on it with a major change.
That’s what I was trying to figure out.So is that dude saying he wants to be the coach at Butler next? Or what
