Burns @ KM

I think it will be a great game. I think y’all have some serious talent at Burns, but it all depends on Sweezy’s progression, in my opinion. He was a sophomore last year, so growing pains were expected, but I saw too many wasted positions, bad quarterback and center exchanges, and of course, there were signs of brilliance. I expect this to be a very good game, just gotta control Paysour, minimize their big play ability.
Not worried about Shelby right now. We had enough defense last year though when we stomped that tail.
KM vs BURNS always a hard fought game and being both teams first game of the season I do not know what to expect, KM lost several outstanding players to graduation including all conference quarterback Kaylon Wade and defensive tackle Jeremiah Brown, KM has a new quarterback, new to the KM system I think KM will get better as the season goes on and how fast Reid can pick up the offensive. I look for a very close game.
Gonna be a close one early but whoever isnt as sloppy in the first game will win it. sounds cliche but whoever has been the most prepared over the summer and sound will win this one. Burns has some playmakers to be excited about but so does KM.
Burns defense is the difference maker of the game. We know KM defense is good and they have weapons on offense. How their new QB steps up will make a big difference. The dogs have KP on their side though. I think it’s a good game
The MOUNTAINEERS have a KP [KOBE PAYSOUR] and I know he is a difference maker.
If Burns can have some longer drives on offense and run some clock, we have a chance. I think we have to work to limit the number of times KM's offense sees the field. Use the play clock, ground and pound and feed our 3 running backs. 3 to 4 yards a carry will get it done. If their D holds us and we have to punt a lot, or if we have turnovers then based on what I saw in the Jamboree KM will have the edge for sure. Hoping the Dogs get the win.
No all caps this year MP? Coach D will have em ready .I think it's going to be a great game with KM pulling away....its a great opener .
There is no doubt about that, one of the best players I’ve seen in the area without question.

Well as a Burns fan after this loss I think we should just focus on what worked really well for us tonight.........oh wait.
Really thought we would give KM a better game. Mack was out with an injury but so was Landon Hoyle, hurt his ankle at the jamboree and was a game time decision. But no excuses. We could not stop their passing attack and we really struggled on offense. The one touchdown we did score was on a 16-yard pass after a bad snap on a punt and that was on 4th down. I thought that would really jump start us but KM came right back down and scored to make it 20-6 and it took all the starch out of us. Final score 34-6 KM. But I think there will be better days. Asheville next week. Congratulations KM.
I think BURNS will be a team that will ends up doing very well this season, I was very impress with the BULLDOGS front seven they gave KM FITS running between the tackles, good luck to the rest of the season.
Really hope so...thanks for the kind words, good luck to you guys too. Devine wants to open it up more this season and has brought back Mike Goss as QB coach. He should be a tremendous help. We have changed to a shotgun style offense. We have to be able to pass or like someone said on another thread, teams will stack the box against us. Also the defense needs to improve against the pass. Cornerbacks need to turn around.
