Sorry the bracket on NCHSAA last night said 7:00pm, so it's a 6:00pm tipoff. Other than the correct time, anything else you can add to this game???
I can't believe no one is talking about this game. Especially with as much interest as there is in Hayesville/SMC girls. Or maybe it's just a forgone conclusion that it's either WSP or Albemarle's west region to lose anyway?
Here is my input for this game, and the west regional for that matter. When the Hayesville boys play team ball and play to their level that they are capable of I doubt anyone can beat them. The problem is we have seen doses and stretches of it so far but never a complete game of it. They have three players who have consistently shown the ability for 20 and 30 point games so if they can get that kind of contribution from all three I doubt anyone can beat them.
Who is the best defensive team that Hayesville has played? Based on maxpreps, Avery has only given up more than 60 pts 4 times all year, with 68 being the most. Would be surprised if 3 guys drop 20 in the same game on them. But it's also easy to say that Hayesville will be the best team they have played since Christmas.
Still predicting the stingy Avery defense will come out on top. They have to or I owe mbdfan a your right, and I really do hate to dish those out. LOL
Hayesville doesn't have a station. I've seen one of the Murphy stations (102.7) do their games before. I've also seen a station from Avery set up at games at SMC schools before. Can't remember
If Avery does a radio its tape delayed till next day. I know its crazy, I won't be able to make this one so updates would be appreciated.
Avery is big, fast, and deep. Avery's defense is as good as any I've seen. They are very disciplined and play "Team" ball. Should ve a good one wish I could make it.
Sounds like two teams that will be looking at each other in the mirror. Both teams also seeing the dividends of tough non-conference schedules. Should be a good one.

No I don't think it's that, I think it's the fact that it's a foregone conclusion that whoever comes out of the west on the boy's side is going to get smoked by East Carteret, no one wants to talk about whose second best.
On the girl's side the winner of the west is likely to win the state title, so I think more people are excited to discuss the girl's side this season.
I'm going Avery by 6.. I think these two sound a lot alike. Probably gonna depend on who gets hot. Avery has some very good athletes that could match up with cotrell. would love to see this game. Thats why I love football and basketball playoffs. Great match ups every night
