From what I witnessed today (and yes I was at Chapel Hill for this game) Wallace Rose Hill & Clinton would have beat Reidsville this year. Say what you want, the EAST clearly had the more powerful teams.

I tend to agree that Wallace, Clinton, and James Kenan could have kept pace with the Reidsville team today.
However, I do not think Reidsville played up to their potential today either. I credit East Duplin’s coaching staff and defense for some of that, but not all of it.
Also on that note, I think ED had the best defense of those 4 from the East to contend with/contain Reidsville’s explosive offense. That is a personal opinion though.

Reidsville offense been struggling all year long.
Trust me you don't want to start piling on Reidsville. They will be back every year. 18 may be quarterback lol
lol....avg. 42 points per game and struggling...there are about 400 other high school teams in NC that would like to "struggle" like that.............
Dude the east had nothing for a 704 team. It's all about matchups. Reidsville to 1000 faults of their own dropped the bag.
They actually protected y'all from a beat down because they matched up well beating these teams out here. I already said you can run on Reidsville but you would not have run on at least 4 other teams in that west bracket for a win. Reidsville plays around too much to rep the west in this format.

Yes our defense helped that average this year. Offense wasn’t bad. I thought we did some really good things but to say ED stopped a great Reidsville offense is just not true. We have great talent no doubt. Just execution at times hurt.
Brian Aldridge Defense did hold the Rams offense to only 2 scores. Pretty much shut down compared to average. Panthers D was best in 2a. Definitely played big in crucial situations, every time this year

Ok folks I too was there at the game and what I saw was this: Reidsville is as advertised... They were a number 1 seed for a reason... They have a good strong team and I believe they will return to the state championship game either next year or the year after or both... The QB AL Lee was stellar and will be a top candidate for any college seeking a QB.... ED just basically controlled the line of scrimmage pretty much all day and controlled the time of possession all day long. Those make a major difference in a game... I can't say that wrh jk Clinton Princeton whiteville northeastern would of also beat Reidsville but I can say that it was east duplins time this year... They got the breaks they needed to help them pull it off... So congrats to east duplin and Reidsville honestly nothing to hang your down about because you got a amazing team that will be back next year or two years from now or both...
He watched a ton a film I liked the constant blitzing of the linebackers to make Lee uncomfortable. I think he seen that was a weakness for him to scramble. He also had flippen doubled which was smart. East Duplin pretty much had the same game plan as Page did and executed it the same way.
