Don’t understand why they waited till today. Some of those 1A schools will be traveling halfway across the state and will have to arrange transportation.

Yea, makes no sense. Also would give teams time to do any research they would like on their opponents. They could have got this done yesterday.

For the most part you're correct. However, the RPI numbers changed up until late last night. For some schools, that could have changed a spot or 2 in the rankings.

Scores getting entered in late or making corrections change the numbers a little. Not much though.

My daughter plays lacrosse and they did the same thing. Brackets came out Monday afternoon and games started Wed. On Friday before HS OT preliminary brackets had us playing Reagan. The 1st preliminary bracket NCHSAA had us playing Asheville and final bracket we were playing Myers Park. Our seed never changed our opponent kept changing
