Ashe looks good on some highlights on MaxPreps. Can sling it and have some good looking athletes. I think will be good test and game will have to come play.

I believe this is the game Mt Airy needs and just when they need it. I have said all preseason and season that what happens between the ears of the Bear players is what will determine their season.
After all, we are talking about 15 to 17 year old kids. The worse thing they can do is read to many headlines or listen to their parents tell them how great they are. Most of Mount Airy starters have played very little in the 2nd half of the first three games, and in fact, the coaching staff has been inserting 2nd team players early in each game. That has advantages but it also has some disadvantages.
They need to be tested and they need to be tested starting this coming Friday night. (That is not meant to put down any of the first three opponents. They played hard but Mt Airy played up to its talent and with a chip on their shoulder which they need to keep doing.)
My hope is that Starmount, East Wilkes and Alleghany continue to win and improve so that the Bears continue to have to play hard.

Keys to the game Third Floyd and Dandy the rest is not important they will take care of there self or come natural
Ashe County QB in 3 games has 966 yards passing 14 TDs with 5 INTs. He is 60-84 passing. 322 yards a game passing. MA will have a true test Friday night bc as we seen last year they are a bad matchup for MA!
Mt Airy’s main defensive backs are Stroup, Mason and Revels. They are also 3 of the fastest on the team and experienced starters at DB.
Also, with Dandy and Joyce at the two Defensive End positions the Ashe QB will have no place to run.

What’s your thoughts on the coin toss?
I think no matter who wins the toss, Mount Airy gets the ball starting the second half.
I maybe wrong but two of the first three games the opponent has won the toss and elected to take the opening kickoff.
I believe Ashe will do the same and try to set the tempo.

Makes sense to keep the ball out the MA offense hands as long as possible. Slow game, keep the clock running, keep the score as low as possible, hope for a turn over or two; maybe a some penalties at the right time, and win by having a good drive or 2 for a lead and hope to hold in the end.
Bears will have to do it without some starters so all this PT the younger guys have been getting will get its test

I have known him a while and he messaged me and said he was back on preps and knew I was new to the boards. He is an old friend in life not preps.
I hope nothing it would be terrible to see a young man with a D1 opportunity get hurt. I hope he is healthy and playing tonight.
