Pender 1A but they will be in final 4 down in that classification

Northeastern will make because of the weak conference
But I'm sure with the growth in the county, Pender will be 2A by next reclassification.
Like fbforlife said last year, “The only difference between Princeton and WRH is WRH has got Kanye” They return lots.
I talked to Goob the other day and he said I’ll see him very soon. I’m assuming he meant the Clinton game at the Dog Pound. I think he’ll be pulling for the away team and sitting with 34 and Wizard. What do y’all Darkhorses think. 04, I assume you’ll be doing game on radio. Wallace radio 100.5 will not be broadcasting the games this year.
This is weird to type for a program like CHS, but I think Clinton is going to be sneaky Really good this year. I get a vibe like they’re intentionally laying low this summer..knowing they got a nice team. 8/26 at WRH gonna be a doozy. Historically they seem like the only away team not phased by Legion Stadium.
Sneaky and intentionally laying low? How is that any different than previous years under Johnson? You are definitely correct on the Darkhorses in the pound. Battle plays very good in the pound also
Surprised to see Clinton has won 3 straight in the series. (Didn’t play last year , iirc)
I agree I think some of it gets lost in the defensive woes of last year but basically fielded a JV aged defense and a first time coordinator. Great thing about playing so many young guys is they all return 16 who either started or rotated in on the defensive side of the ball. Offensive line depth is my only concerned really. Sophomore QB has high ceiling skill positions are deep and add in a pair of transfers with high upside. And this may sound silly but biggest weapon may be a freshmen kicker. Lol Goob will like that reminds me of the kid they had a few years ago can’t remember his name. All in all I’m excited week 2 will be a battle as always we have a chance to really pop up on the radar if we were to win. But for now biggest game is the next one and it starts with scrimmages then week 1 at Goldsboro
I would rather the Horses play the Bulldogs at the Dog Pound. One of the DarkHorses very favorite places to play

Yes I’ll be broadcasting. Wiz undoubtedly will be there, 34 lives in FL now so unless he is making a special trip home, he will unfortunately have to listen to me talk about the game. The last few years WRH AD has been very nice to us. Super nice dude.
East Duplin has won three in a row at Legion Stadium, 17, 19 and 21.
WRH should definitely be playing late in November. As someone else pointed out, I think Northeastern will be a high seed based on schedule and go 3-4 rounds deep. East Duplin has potential to be really good assuming they get good Oline play. Their skill people are very good. I also think St Pauls and Princeton will be factors. So, looks like the same suspects as last year.

St Pauls game I plan on making the trip home. I said if I make that drive it will be for a home game so you know I’ll stop by the booth and bug you and Ron. Does Wallace have the NFHS cameras? If not I’ll just be listening to the radio broadcast.

Only one dedicated. No one picking up. Yeah olddog, really miss talking not only about our beloved Bulldogs but about area teams also. He really loved Battle Holley. He loved The competition with the big three, James Kenan, ED and Clinton. I think his biggest three wins were against Reidsville in 17, Tarboro in 16 and Havelock in 17

Crazy to think this will be my 18th season calling games for Clinton. My partner’s 22nd year calling games, I believe. Darn, time flies.

Cummings is a huge mystery. I'm wondering if its just a one man show or do they have talent other places. They graduated some talented seniors.
2019 they were in the Eastern Championship I think that’s past round 3
Didnt make it out of the 2nd round last year.
