Baseball 2025 Regionals

Rough start to the regional final for Roberson. The Rams allow eight runs in the first and five in the second in a 13-0 mercy rule loss to Cuthbertson. Roberson will be at home Thursday, playing for their season.
I am sure TCR will be ready for game 2. It will be tough to KO the champs. It is baseball and these things happen sometime to even very good teams.

As I said before TCR had a great atmosphere and a large crowd on hand tonight. Simpson managed the game well and had really only given up “dink” hits that bounced through openings until the 6th when Cuthbertson got their bats awake and drove a few including a monster HR.

Two solid ball teams for sure. It’ll be interesting to see how this one plays out on the mounds especially if the rumored roster shakeup floating around TCR tonight proves to be true.

An interesting one but correct one if everything happened as said. A parent of a TCR player talked about it last night and it would affect pitching depth. It’s a parent I know not just a random field conversation. I’ll leave it at that to see how it shakes out. May or may not be an issue in game 3 but would almost certainly play into the state finals should TCR advance.

How? They won’t play again until next Friday. Wouldn’t any pitcher have enough rest by then? As near as I can tell they get four days rest if they max out the pitch count and that should be enough for any pitcher who goes Saturday to be set again for Friday.

By no longer being on the roster.

East Rutherford put a 21-5 whipping on West Stanly in Bostic today. Since suffering their only loss of the season so far in the first game of the regional championship series, the Cavaliers outscored the Colts 29-5. They won't know who they'll face for the state title until tonight, but it's between Midway and S. Lenoir.
