New Shelby QB Isiah Bess is going to be the next great one. Has size, good arm and is an extremely good kid and very coachable. With the new kids transferring into Shelby, he should have a solid group around him. Could be another 2A championship team.
Like you guys say,why even worry about it.
Watching tape last year before the regional final I was very impressed with Bess... As a Panthers fan was very happy that he didn’t play and Surratt gutted it out on 1 wheel(he put on a gutsy performance for a QB that could barely move)

Agree with this. I thought that the Bess kid showed good poise going through his progressions. I thought that all 3 of the CC team their showed well. What I did find interesting was some of the junk type defenses that were played down there. Now I know that teams often have certain defenses that they will play in 7v7 but some things I saw weren't even close to coverages that would be played on Friday nights. This wasn't exclusive to the CC teams as I noticed it from many of those participating. I wasn't able to watch the county teams on the first day but on Saturday I noticed that SHS didn't even play with a backer at all. I understand bringing in an extra DB to play nickle or even two extra to play dime but they played with 7 DB's the entire day Saturday. Outside of working on technique and getting the kids to compete, does this translate to Friday night football? BTW, impressed with what Devine is doing with what he has to work with over in Lawndale.

Not trying to be smooth. Transfers are the new norm. Kids come and go. All four Cleveland County schools have benefited from transfers over the years. No need to whine about them
From the looks of his offers he didn't need Shelby to get his skills displayed. With that said I know where you come from. He will have a good offensive group around him this year which will force people to play him straight up.
