Forest Hills continues their roadshow after knocking off Randleman and Salisbury. This will be a 3-hour trip for the Jackets. Definitely looking forward to seeing the scenery and how the Jackets play on the artificial grass. I think that will be a huge advantage for them.

FH will be the fastest team Brevard will have played this season.

Any thoughts or predictions?

Toss up to me. Brevard has some speed themselves, they aren't really a slow mountain team like you might think. Should be a high scoring game

I don’t know about the fastest, will let you know after the game. Knoxville Catholic and their University of Tennessee commit at WR were pretty fast.

I can’t comment on Forest Hills because I haven’t seen them but Brevard is at their best when they run the ball which then opens up play action to a few playmakers that they have at receiver.

Thompson, #5, has been great for Brevard all year at RB and Skinner compliments him well with his more physical style of running ball.

If you can limit Brevard’s defensive ends that have wreaked havoc on most offenses this year, you’ll be OK on offense.

Looking forward to Friday!

Forest Hills Stats vs. Salisbury:

QB Zach Dilworth: 14-21 203 Yards 2 TDs
WR Jer'el Bolder: 4 Rec. 115 Yards 1 TD
RB Rodney Smith: 22 Car. 229 Yards 2 TDs
RB Kylan Polk: 13 Car. 92 Yards 1 TD

203 Yards Passing
320 Yards Rushing
523 Yards Total Offense

RB Rodney Smith passed 1000 yards for the season.

Sounds like Salisbury D was trash...
They couldn't stop our running game at all and we're a spread offense normally throwing for 300 yards a game. QB didn't even need to really throw the way the running game was moving the ball. FH has put up over 500 plus yards of offense in all three playoff games.

Do y’all have a NFHS camera or is there a stream or radio station there that plays I won’t be able to make it

Looking to make a weekend of it since it’s so far away from Marshville. Any recommendations on hotels, restaurants, things to do?
Hampton Inn in Pisgah Forest. I would check out some waterfalls if you’re able, that’s what Brevard is known for (and white squirrels).

Festival of Lights is on Saturday in downtown Brevard, it’s OK and more family oriented.

El Chapala and Big Mike’s are two good food spots prior to the game.

Anyone care to share what happened at the end of the Brevard East game? Did East really just walk off with 4 minutes left? What happened that caused that?
Shared on another thread. Only thing that I’ve heard is that one or multiple coaches got ejected. They then had their players leave the field. I didn’t see anything egregious happen on the play before they left (Brevard interception).

I’ll likely hear the ER side of things at some point this week.

I went and listened to the East radio broadcast and it sounded like they felt the the East coach made the decision to send his kids off. I’m still a little confused by it all. I guess it had gotten chippy and with the game in the state it was it just wasn’t worth continuing

Massey Ratings Round 4

Massey has this a 6.5 point spread picking Brevard 28-21. This has the makings of a really good game. Not a lot of chatter on here about it though. This should be a classic.
I'll be there. Decided to go up early and stay over night instead of driving back late. Just don't know much about Brevard this year. FH has played them twice over the years once in 1985 and again in 2000 going 2-0.

Brevard has a team that can dictate the physicality of the game and really control the trenches, if they come out focused. If they come out like they did against East Rutherford, or Pisgah the first game of the year, that could definitely be the case. They've done that most of the year but a few games they've let their guard down. They have several players on their team that will be able to run with the best that Forest Hills has but I do expect FH to have more speed overall across their team. Galloway, that just committed to APP, is built every bit like you'd want a football player to be built. The kid is STRONG and will muscle around most if one-on-one on offense and defense. Temps. will be around 26 degrees at kickoff and pretty much stay there throughout the game. What more could you want for a 4th round game in the mountains? I hope Brevard moves on but this should be a good game regardless.

Well I just parked at Brevard's Stadium. Hope it's a good one. Love a good cold football game. Thinking about it each game in all classes 4A-1A could pretty much be the last game for each team in their current division (Until the NCHSAA decides to go to 16 divisions 😆) FH is going to 5A after this season after spending the largest part of its existence at 2A with many years at 3A also. A lot of history changing.

I know the outcome wasn’t what you hoped but I do hope you have a good stay and safe travels.

Curious to hear your thoughts on Brevard/Monroe matchup assuming they hang on to win after facing both teams.

This game scientifically proves that Brevard would have beat Reidsville by 117 points. Their coach must have come from a magical place.

Just be prepared for the speed. Brevard's lines are dominant and FH's lines aren't small but y'all pushed us off the ball all night. After that botched kickoff to start the second half we folded. You definitely imposed your will on us after that big time. If you can do that to Monroe then you've got a shot. You've got to contain the Monroe QB. He's not a great passer but he'll burn you with his feet if he doesn't have an open receiver. I told someone on another thread that Monroe is like a track team playing football. Brevard's run game is the next best to Monroe I've seen all year. Brevard is a well coached team for damn sure. If you can impose your will with the ground game like you did tonight I really think you can keep it close.
