13-0 East Forsyth @ 12-0 Weddington

You can make a case for that but another poster mentioned already this will be the best offense Weddington will have seen to date. It should be interesting. This is the Friday night you wish they had that NFL red zone thing for the NCHSAA 4th round going forward. 😆
Didn't Weddington play Providence Day

Let me put my 2 cents in...LOL! Both teams are having a great year. Unfortunately, this game will come down to defense and I just don't see East Forsyth winning this unless something the football Gods touch them. Lets look at the match up. East Forsyth can score and I think we can all agree with that. The X-factor will come down to key match ups. East don't really have a great WR crew. The JP kid is their offense! Weddington probably do the best of any team that I have seen this year scheming up their opponent. This will play cover 4 and bring pressure when needed. They are good enough up front which will be the down fall for East Forsyth. Baker is a difference maker but they will need the defense to stop Weddington and I think Weddington can stop East more times. My final score 42- 21. Weddington will be up big before the 4th.
Weddington does not scheme up their opponent per say. You can formation them and get what you want. Now you need to have a way to attack and the time. Now everyone scheme down and distance. But they not rotating coverage over 1 wr in a 3x1 set. They did not do it to Grimsley last year and those were P5 guys.

Brice Baker's 3 weapons at WR's are super nice: Jr. Jaire Richburg, seniors JP Gilchrist & Corey Blair all have offers but it's the junior Richburg who is hitting it big. Ohio State is now involved. The PA system is going to be saying these names a lot.

For me if you formation them that is scheming them up. Well you are correct about DND but even that can't tell you but so much about tendencies. Weddington does scheme up their opponents. Every game that I have watched they use the field every well. P5 guys don't mean anything if you have good players. They are solid and they do what they do. What you are talking about we do on the college level. High schools do it but Weddington has beat some very tough competition and I don't think they are just calling plays. They get the ball to their play makers and that is apart of scheming teams up. Scheming DND does not happen in every offensive scheme. For example in the WingT the fronts are schemed and the over hangs are the main focus in the scheme. Styles make fights!

JP is the play maker though! I just don't think they are good enough up front. I can't to wait see this game!

Man tried to bag on Grimsley for having transfers when everyone knows that there is an adoption agency running wild at Weddington, and got mad at you when you called it out. Emotional fans are the best fans haha
Especially fans from Cuthbertson like you. Still mad because the receiver didn’t want to stay there last year.

I mean his mom literally signed over parental rights to Thomas Davis…haha I don’t think being mad has anything to do with the truth my guy, nice try though.

Have also seen both play live, I think EF definitely needs to be up at the half. Weddington is
so good at making those half time adjustments. WF played Wedd close for a half then took a beat down. The EF defense has to find a way to keep Wedd in the 20's......
Making the trip up to Greensboro for the other half of this bracket this week but also plan
to make the west 4a final next week. . Good Luck to all 4 of these tremendous teams..

^^I also, have seen both teams play at the beginning of the season, middle, and end. 2 State Championship programs. Weddington is a great team but like any team out there…hey guys…sorry to tell ya, they have flaws. Pretty good defense, disruptive front 4! Nasty, Fast & Physical! Defensive backs on Weddington are by far the weakest group on the field. Can easily be attacked all night through the air by quick game. EF offensively, this group will be the best if not, one of the best offenses Weddington has seen all season & vice versa. Bryce Baker is a well oiled machine but he CANNOT give points to the defense like he has the past 2 weeks. Weddington’s offense is average at best. Very Surprised their QB only has 1 D2 offer as a senior on a team like that with that much exposure. 6’5, proven state champion, shows control over the offense. It’s mind boggling but I’m sure they will roll in once the season ends in a few weeks. I Truly don’t believe they have a player that can single handedly take over this game on offense. But EF’s defense has been if not, historically bad this year. Eager to see Weddington’s receivers vs EF db’s. Ef’s defensive backs are the weakest group on that unit but the defense as a whole tends to have that “keep bending, we’re almost about to break” mentality lol. EF’s offense will keep them in this game. Simple. They have to! there is no other choice lol. EF will have to make this a shootout. I can’t stress this enough, East must get their 3-star WR #11 going early unlike past weeks. Playcalling will be very interesting to see. Throughout the game he seems to disappear, don’t understand it. Unlike some people on here like I said earlier, I have seen both teams play multiple games throughout the season. EF has a chance, this is why we play the game. Weddington must get east out of the way quick, jump on them and take their heart. Go for the Kill early coach! Something that Mooresville failed to do. If this EF team goes on the road 2 hours away in 28 degree weather & linger around throughout the 3rd or 4th I truly believe East will win in a close one. I have it 38-33 whoever wins.

Great Take, This is what I like to see!

SN, The QB for Weddington didn’t start until this season so that probably played a big part in his recruitment not picking up as much yet.

East has 2 or 3 D1 receivers I think they're pretty good.

Bryce has got to play well to get his NIL money.
