Did the NCHSAA make a change?

The state previously rotated sites between UNC and NC State. I see now that 1A and 3A are at State for the 2nd consecutive year. Did they make a formal change and I missed it?

They made the change due to the possible large crowds for thr 4A and 2A games I would expect.

4A Boys features one of the biggest schools in the state (Myers Park) vs one of the biggest fan bases in the state (Richmond).

2A Boys features two really good programs that will draw a lot of folks in Farmville Central and Reidsville.

I’m sure Lake Norman will bring a huge crowd for the girls game.

Not saying 1A or 3A wouldn’t bring crowds. I think Northwood vs Central Cabarrus (3A boys) should have a huge crowd. Reynolds sold out so it’s going to packed.

I remember the days when both Carmichael and Smith Center was used.

I like the rotation system. Many players grow up dreaming of playing a game of the campus of Chapel Hill. Carmichael and the Smith center are excellent venues as is Reynolds.

I think it made a great atmosphere. I'm sure it created a great venue for their women's team.
