Not defending here, but it is a tremendous amount of work and money to host the State or Regional. I have no problem with host team playing.
I’m guessing, the line is not long on people wishing to host.

I know it takes a lot of work. But I'm not sure why it's OK for one team to automatically get into the regionals every year. When it rotated every year, that's all fine. But this doesn't make sense to me.
