6-2 last week, 13-3 this season. Albemarle continues to confound me. Union Academy disappointed me last week. East Montgomery surprised me and bounced back from a season opening loss. Dang, what may be next???

West Stanly @ Albemarle, Albemarle 20-18
Kestral Heights @ Chatham Central, KH 35-12
Trinity @ East Montgomery, EM 34-14
South Davidson @ West Davidson, WD 48-8
South Stanly @ Anson, Anson 35-7
Union Academy @ Central Academy, 27-7
Thomasville @ West Montgomery, WM 33-22

I don't want to give up on Albemarle, but West Stanly may take this one. They appear to be improved somewhat. Technically, thanks to last season's forfeit win over Albemarle, the Chatham Central losing streak moves up to nine, but, the Bears have not won on the field since the 2013 regular season finale versus South Davidson, thus, a soon to be 15 game losing skid. The agony in Bear Creek continues. East Montgomery gets a win in its home opener. Anson herds the Rowdy Rebel Bulls. Central Academy defeats Union Academy. West Montgomery wins its home opener.

West Stanly @ Albemarle, West Stanly 20-17
Kestral Heights @ Chatham Central, KH 35-0
Trinity @ East Montgomery, EM 34-0
South Davidson @ West Davidson, WD 48-0
South Stanly @ Anson, Anson 35-0
Union Academy @ Central Academy, 27-7
Thomasville @ West Montgomery, WM 40-17

I have never betted against my Bulldogs in county competition, but I have to go with West Stanly on this one. Only because we are still limited to our playbook and we don't have all our players back. Even with some new additions to the team, we will fall short. West Montgomery will crush T-Ville, if I was WM, I would pull my starters as soon as I can. T-Ville plays really dirty. Chatham Central, South Stanly, and South Davidson gets "Blanked". East Montgomery continues their hot streak.

Thomasville @ West Montgomery - WM 35-21
WM will be down a couple players again, otherwise I would predict a blowout.

West Stanly @ Albemarle - WS 35-14
Albemarle gets it together, just not this week. WS is much improved over last season

Trinity @East Montgomery - EM 35-14
EM is still over the top fired up!

North Moore Wins! (No game)

South Davidson @ West Davidson - SD 14-7
SD's best chance for a win so far!

Anson County @ South Stanly - Anson 35-7

North Stanly Wins! (No game)

Union Academy @ CATA - CATA 56-7

Kestrel Heights @ Chatham Central - KH wins their first game of the season big!

Who are we missing now?

Who are we missing now?
We are getting QJ and a couple Linemen (Cash,Alderman) back this week so Ellis can go back to his regular spot but we will be missing a couple of real key players. Not wanting to put too much out there but they will be missed. Hope the other guys can show up and fill in! Somebody has got to get the crowd fired up! We might not have the usual player who does that!

We have not had our offense on the field and/or in their "normal" positions since the first series of the first game. But we still had 350 yards and 27 points (on the fly) in game 1 and over 400 yards and 41 points in, let's say, less than ideal conditions on the road last week. If we can get everyone back and ready to play we should be ok. Overcoming adversity early will hopefully help us down the road. I'm interested in seeing how motivated we come out in our first home game. That will be key. Thomasville will give us all we want and then some, and more than we want, if we are not ready to rock and roll.
