The Wilson Times reported a few days ago that J.B. Hunt head coach Ryan Sulkowski has stepped down as the head coach after one season due to health issues. For the record, I thought he did a fantastic job leading the Warriors to a 5-7 record in year one, but with a few breaks, they could have easily ended up at 8-4 as well.
What direction will the school head in? There are a few coaches I would look hard at if I were them.
Some local coaches would be Ryan Gieselman at Kinston, who would be near the top of my list, as would Steve Brooks at C.B. Aycock, Andrew Farriss at Northern Nash, Jeremy Joyner at South Lenoir, or Robert Britt at Rosewood.
I know it was rumored that Battle Holley was in the mix last time, I would certainly give him another callback, and I would look at Caleb King who's at J.H. Rose as well.
