Can anyone give me some scoop on our old conference foes? I know they haven’t lost since week 1 to Alexander Central, and I’m sure they have improved since they. I haven’t seen they play since last year against South Point, but they have lost a head coach since then. What can I expect, maybe beamer24 can elaborate.
 
Same as usual hibriten team. Defense is a lot better than when they played in the Wilkes conference. Qb is probably the best athlete on the team. Has a nice arm, and runs the ball well. Offensively not as fast as previous years but very physical. Defensively is where it’s at this year quick to the ball and hard hitting. Seems coach Mackey takes a lot of pride in his defenses. Graduated a lot of seniors last year so very young team. Should be a good ball game Friday.

That’s what I figured. It will take a lot for WC to pull an upset this week. When we are playing well we have held our own most of the year, but at times we are head scratchers for sure. We battled Alexander Central to a 12 point game, and had a chance to take the lead in the 4th and ran out of gas. So I believe we can hang in there with them if we come to play.

Pretty much the same offense as past years for Hibriten with a little Spread and other formations thrown in every once in awhile... RB by committee but have at least 5 players capable of carrying it anytime they are on field, probably averaging about 6-8 passes a game depending on circumstances...

Defense has gotten better throughout the year but both of our lines are smaller then last couple years... Were missing a few staters last week during regular season finale and will be without one for probably the entire post-season!!

Hope to see a good, injury free game this week as always but will say Panthers by 21... Good Luck and safe travels

Hard to disagree. Warm up game for the Panthers. I’ve seen WC play a couple times. They have a very good junior RB in Joraye Morrison who is well over 2000 yards on the year. They have a tough QB who is a stud on defense. They do have speed and athletes at wide receiver but have trouble getting them the ball. Little to no depth. Young team in key spots. They will fight through the first half then run out of gas.

Hibritens defense is playing very good right now. Outside of a good passing team its going to be hard to put up points against them. Offense at times looks great and other times not so much. IMO if Hibriten can establish the fullback it would greatly help the offense. #26 looked good this past friday if they can get him going it should open up things for the QB, Wings and passing game.

Pretty accurate assessment of WC. More than anything I am anxious to see how Joraye does against them. Nobody, has stopped him all year, and I wanna see him against another team with good athletes.

It’s a spread, they have stayed in the gun but played with a lot of 2 rights more recently, and less 4 wide. You will see a little option maybe once or twice to keep you honest. The offense is really build around joraye, if you stop him we are in an even deeper hole.

Let's hear it Beamer. It looked a little worrisome early. What happened? I'm looking forward to the trip next Friday.
 
Wilkes had a good running back we only had 3 possessions 1st half. Looked much better 2nd half. It will take our best game to win next week.
 
Thought our guys played tough in the 1st half, if we can get the onside kick to start the second half I felt like we could have kept a little momentum from playing pretty well in the 1st half. Hibriten is a solid football team, #8 is a baller, he threw the ball way better than I expected, and you defense was physical and flew to the ball all night. Hats off to our guys to keep play even when it got to 38-12, good luck to Hibriten the rest of the way
