Are the numbers low or high for teaching position?

I would think the number could be as low as one but no where close to 200.

First thing you have to consider is what teaching vacancies are open. Most fb coaches are PE certified but if you don't have a PE position open you are behind the 8 ball. Administration will also determine if they are looking for experienced head coaches or are they open to experienced assistants/coordinators. That is just a couple of thoughts. Another possible hurdle is how does the principal feel about athletics. Are they supportive or do they have the mindset of they couldn't care less about athletics. Just my 2 cents worth.
