Who is the most Underrated?

Josiah McLaurin- transfer WR from
Hobbton 1288 rec yards 17 TDs, 271 yards rushing 6 TDs and ran 3 KOs back for TDs as a sophomore

granted these numbers were against 1A competiton but impressive nonetheless hopefully he can put up similar numbers for us this upcoming season.

I don’t think reidsville reported correctly i think flippen had over 1500

Baldwin is another that is underrated

Yea really surprised how under recruited Baldwin is but then again I’m not seems to be the plight of the 2A running back East of 95. Has the size, speed, well rounded plays 4 sports has the grades and goes to all the camps and combines. Like Roberts maybe the big offer comes during the season. Right now I believe he only has 2 Lenior Rhyne and Richmond

That Richmond offer is a good one though.

hard to believe he's not being recruited more.

So I saw Baldwin after the Clinton/St. Paul’s basketball game and I spoke with him a few mins. He said his dream school was ECU. Seems like he told me he had received his first offer too but I can’t remember who it was.

Went and looked at Baldwin’s Hudl. He’s a beast! He reminds me of the RB Lincolnton had back in 2015, Tarus Dameron, both stocky and fast. Saw his recruiting profile. Young man could easily past for 30. He definitely should be on the radar of some schools. He’s the complete package.

Yeah I loved the back from Lincolnton. Baldwin at least does have a few offers. On twitter I see some Shelby guys getting offered. One hs nc website retweeted that lee got an offer from central.

With Baldwin at Paul’s is a threat to come out of the east

Talk about underrated August weaver from polk County leads the team in rushing and tackles and has since freshman year , if stays healthy will break school record rushing and tackles now ain't many can go both ways and pull that off !!! I've seen Baldwin and he's a beast , the kid from chase can run but anyone could behind those monsters they have up front, just my thoughts

Let’s do the top 10 2a returning rushers.

McCombs - CHASE - 2884
Baldwin - St. Paul’s - 2483
Perris - Princeton - 1961
Avery - West Lincoln - 1825
Montgomery - WRH - 1723
Gibbs - Maiden - 1552
Gaby - East Duplin - 1458
Norris - Burns - 1207
Weaver - Polk - 1186
Kerr - WRH - 1112

I’ll be interested in what Perris will do now that Brooks is gone. I’m betting he goes real big this fall ….Same goes for Montgomery and Kerr.

Also noticed East Gaston had 2 way up there that graduated….Hill and McKinney.

Washington graduated 2.
Holmes graduated 2.
Forbush graduated 2.

WRH graduated 2 as well…with Robert’s and Farrior… but they reloaded.

Poor ole Whiteville had 3 in this list that graduated.

I guess Shelby, Reidsville, East Surry, Hendersonville, Monroe, Northeastern, Clinton and Salisbury are just gonna wear all of us out….with the deep ball!

Run the rock!😂

We had one that could of made the list but he wasn’t given the ball enough #24 Jakwon Wilson was a game breaker but Coach fell in love with Blake Smith and that QB power……video of Wilson below

That boy runs like Tommy Henry. High, head back, arms out, same stride.... @Maiden Creek what you think?

Tommy is currently still 5th on Career rushing yds and 4th in career rushing TDs, was a 4 year starter.

I thought the same thing. Grizz.

I looked at his stats… he averaged 11 yards a carry. Have mercy!
He was solid I just hate he wasn’t utilized enough only 79 carries on the season compared to 146 by your QB. It was a key drive in the playoff loss vs ED where they stopped us inside the 15 on a big 3rd and 4th down needed maybe 2 or 3 yards from what I remember both were QB runs. SMH I said to myself you gotta let #24 get one of those opportunities. Some really bad calls by the ref aside that stop is where the game ended for us

I guess I understand it now thinking bout it we had to have him on defense aswell one of the few upperclassman on that side of the ball needed to carry those sophomores and freshmen

Good point on Weaver as a leading tackler…he is a stud.

There is another one like him that plays for West Lincoln….Mason Avery…leading rusher and leading tackler.

Both are pine knots!😉

Montgomery got his 1700 yards behind a 3500 yd RB. He might not get the touches he did last year. Kerr is not underrated. His expectations are high. The sleepers at WRH are Irvin Brown and Lonnie Wilson. Lonnie runs like JJ did back in 14,15. Electrifying! Brown is a hard runner that can break through tackles with speed and power. That’s actually who I think will get the most touches. If our big four works together and block for each other, our offense could be as good as last year, maybe better. Montgomery maybe mainly at LB

IDK unless Kerr is better I think Montgomery is our best back. No doubt in my mind he could have been a 2500 yard 30 td type of back if he didnt have to split carries with KR and Farrior.

We run the rock at Hendersonville too. Freshman RB went over 1000 and nearly 20 td's
