Whiteville got lucky against North Brunswick and East played there 2nd offence all the 4th qt last night against North, The Pack had a week of to get ready for the Eagles -- but a extra week will not have the Pack ready for a Eagle POUNDING! East is the real deal this season --big, strong and fast.
EAST WINS BY 30

I don't know GOODCUPDALE and Core31. Yes we have a really good team but Whiteville is always good, as well. We play at their house with a quick turnaround from last night's game. Defending the zone read, option, and a decent passing game will be difficult especially on this short week. I do believe East will win but not by the margin you are predicting. I will say the next 2 weeks are crucial for East Bladen. They need to be hitting on all cylinders.

Got lucky against West Brunswick. Beat Norrh 29-6. Also believe East will win, but comparing scores usually doesn't mean crap. Really would be shocked if its more than a 2 td spread. Pack will not lay down guaranteed!

Pack may win straight up at their place. They are well coached and no,no luck involved beating NB,WB either. Good game.

I will have to say that defensive line for E. Bladen is pretty stout and a force to reckon with and they aren't to slow footed either.

Is this Robbie's best team since he took over? And is Russell still defensive co- ordinator?

I don't know for sure if this is his best or not. Wake up and smell the roses former head Coach Lemon Fisheries the defensive coach this year especially the D- line.

This could very well be but we will have to wait and see. A lot of kids back from last years team that almost made it to the Eastern Finals. I will say, we are a lot further along, team wise, than in previous years but whether that equates to a better season, we will just have to wait and see. A lot of talent on this team and the addition of Sincere Smith, this year, can't be overstated. He was out all last year with a knee injury.

If whitevile makes mistakes yes the Eagles could win by a lot but I don't think it will be a similar score as the win against North Brunswick. I think coach Little has learned a lot about playing with lesser talent by playing those West teams in the playoffs that last few years. I still think EB wins but don't leave early.

Smths injury last year in the first game is the only thing that stopped him from be the starting qb last season. Bedsole has done a good job running the team but Smith speed adds another brake-away back. Smith overall may be the best athlete at East (above average basketball player and unreal baseball skills).

This is always big game. East must have great team from reading these boards. Whiteville pretty good too,but can't afford turn over against East.

If Whiteville can get up early and get the crowd in it, and there will be a big crowd, EB may get frustrated and the flags will start flying. If EB comes out hot the Pack will probably not do well.

So far that isn't EB's style of getting frustrated. They are very disciplined and very deliberate in what they do

Not my recollection of them, but its been a while since I saw them play. Lets see what happens tonight.

Everyone knows I'm no Pack fan, but they always play the Cougars, uh I mean Eagles, tough. EB by 10.

About what I thought....South Columbus will win the conference now.

That's a bold statement hotterhand at this time. You may have to eat them. I will say say whoever wins this coming week will be in the driver's seat to winning the conference title. By the way that heart breaking loss last year to the Stallions in the playoffs is still fresh in these Eagles mind. .

Yea maybe it was a bold statement but I think SC has one of the most underrated players in this area no matter what classification school and that's a QB who I saw on video tip a pass to himself on defense and outrun everyone 90+ yards and seems to throw with such ease and accuracy. Even though their offense doesn't call for much passing I think if it comes down to it you could put the game in his hands and feel good about it. If it's a close game, my $$'s on him.

I grant you one thing the Stallions will probably see the strongest defense they have faced so far his year. That Eagle bunch will go after you and cover the pass fairly decent.

One thing is for sure, these teams know each other very well. We play each other twice almost every season.

hotterhand, You must have not been at the game / because it was nothing like the score looked, Stats don"t lie / The Eagles 277 rushing yards Whiteville 66 East 337 Whiteville 120 total yards. East Bladen ran 66 plays iWhiteville had 37 offensive snaps. East Bladen 31-17 minutes in time of possession,

No I was not at the game but I know EB can dominate time of possession because I did see them do it when Murchinson was there and it was lopsided in time of possession. But even in that close game against a quality team stats don't mean a thing just the final score. Good teams will always play tough not matter what plus it was a Wolfpack home game.

I give EB the edge because they're home other than that these teams are usually mirror each other .... these are the two baddest dudes on the block and it's always a treat to watch em battle it out ... I hope the Stallions can pullout the W but they got a lot of stuff to clean up...

GO STALLIONS

Without that fumble,Whiteville would not be on score board. I don't like the offense pack is running
They don't look comfortable at all.
