Wheatmore has never won more than 5 games in a season and are 5-0 this year...not the best out of conference schedule, but are they for real?

They beat East Davidson 7-6 when East starting QB was injured and they moved up the JV quarterback. Wheatmore is better, but still not great. They may win a playoff game but I don't expect a deep run.

They had a really good season on JV last fall. Granted it's another level but Wheatmore's talent level is up at least for the next little bit. They beat Asheboro in 5 OT's, HP Andrews, Eastern Randolph, East/West Davidson, and tied Thomasville last year. Only team that beat them was Randleman.

I won't be suprised if they win at least 3-4 more. They got Randleman this week and HP Andrews in the finale but in between every game's winable for them.

Never thought I'd see them be this solid but it's a nice story for that community.

Wheatmore very well may end up with a good record this year and their jv did have a great season last year but...

It was Asheboro not Asheville they beat in OT last year.

Would have been a long ride for a jv game.:)

Wheatmore has also won 5 games before, but never 5-0. Never 4-0, 3-0 or even 2-0. I think that's correct. They are better and shocking a lot of people. They're the best team in Randolph County when it comes to wins and losses. We will see this week if they're for real. Randleman will be a good test. They've never beat them, but they had never beat Asheboro either. Could be a year of first. There has definitely been a shift in Randolph County football through week 4. Usually Asheboro, Randleman and ER are the tops in Randolph county. Randleman is still relevant, while Wheatmore, SW Randolph and Trinity have made strides over the bottom 3. Let's see how conference play pans out. Good luck to each of these schools.

Wheatmore 5-0
Randleman 3-1
SW Randolph 3-2
Trinity 3-2
Providence Grove 1-3
Asheboro 1-4
Eastern Randolph 1-4

I agree with almost your entire post. Still not sure on Trinity yet. We will all know very soon.

And unfortunately I think that orange and blue team will be pretty good by end of year.

I saw Wheatmore play East Davidson and I was impressed with their defense. They don't have a lot of big guys but they are very aggressive and play solid fundamental football. East had trouble running the ball and with their QB being hurt and having the JV QB move up for the first game they really struggled on offense. East actually completely shut them down on offense and if it weren't for an East TD pass being called back for holding and also the QB throwing a crucial interception deep in their own territory late in the game then East would have won the game. I think Wheatmore might possibly win a playoff game but won't make it any further than that.
