I think RHS goes to JK and shock the world and win by a FG...RHS has a good Passing Game...and I feel JK will struggle to defend it.. With a QB that's a duel-threat...and a couple receivers that's 6'5,6'4,6'3 to throw the ball to...

I have only seen JK play once this year but in that game they dominated WRH. I don't see them losing to Riverside. Maybe similar to their East Carteret game. Just my opinion.

I'll tell you as easy as I can. You didn't stop Tarboro from scoring. You will have a long night trying to stop JK. I think Riverside can score but don't think they can stop JK from scoring more. JK 48-28

Bossman, Riverside has had an awesome season and it's always fun to see ghosts of the Tigers make things relevant down in Williamston....but I just can't see your Knights defeating James Kenan. It's absolutely possible that you win, and I would be impressed if you did. But I think that the only people that feel like Riverside can beat JK are the Riverside faithful. But if you do beat them, then that only opens up the road for Tarboro to reach the eastern finals, where they will get decimated by Wallace. Man I was one of those that thought that Tarboro would run crazy thru 1A, but the 1A east belongs to Wallace and James Kenan until they leave or completely fall off.

I feel yuu...i jus think we have the size to match up wit John Brooks #4 the WR...and now that JK went to spread...it falls right into our hands...he is they everything in the receiving core...he dnt have 43rec 907yrds for nothing...

Aye...put a body on him. Jam him hard at the line. Tee off on him if he comes across the middle. Maybe something special will happen for the Knights.

Focus all your energy on Brooks and the Tigers will hurt you in other ways.

Donta Mason is the second leading receiver but the Tigers haven't had to throw to the others because of Brooks prowess in their games.

Ken Avent will slice you up on the ground as well as through the air and LEADS the team in rushing, while star senior backs Zach Melvin and Devonta Best are right behind him.

Kenan has scored 44 TD's this year 22 on the ground, 22 through the air.

Kenansville has really generic restaurants (Hardee's, HWY 55 burgers, McDonald's, subway) but Warsaw has a pizza place called PJ's that has pretty good food, slightly expensive but worth the wait.

Kenan's defensive pressure will be the key in this game two talented ends will put pressure on you, while the interior guys lull you to sleep only to smash you in the mouth. The front four for Kenan is as good as any 1-A team in the state.

This one is going to be closer than anyone thinks, 35-28 Kenan. That is unless Riverside allows the sub-par JK running game to get rolling then it is going to be over quickly.

anyone who thinks JK has a sub par running game is delusional all I will say is I hope they RS is better than they were the last time they played WRH in 2013, in other words save your gas money and I ain't no tiger fan

If James Kenan's rushing attack is subpar than your defensive standards are off the charts, 230 something against Wallace. 225 against Lakewood. Those are the two top defenses the Tigers have faced. Both games the Tigers were up over 400 yards because of balanced attacks. Good luck to both teams Friday.

I doubt that...Jk wouldn't knw hw to handle that... The refs was terrible tonight...wen we went up 14-0...we had Coach Avent and his staff scared to death trust me and the fans...they was so silent ova der...

Riverside dropped more than two passes. And 20 of those points came in the beginning of the bird quarter. 14 points came from the JV players against Riversides demoralized starters, who appeared to be under conditioned. And James Kenan's "mediocre" run game ran for 225+ in the Second half.

Great game plan by Riverside who jumped out early and matched James Kenan in the first half talented team that with a little more poise and conditioning could have made more noise.

I agree RS could have a real quality ball club with more conditioning and a will to come back if down. As far as the officials for last nights game, they were less than to be desired but had no bearing on the final result. JK was not playing well in the first half and could have folded but as good teams often do re-grouped and took care of business. My question is why did RS have so little fan support? They are playing in the 2nd round of the playoffs and had what looked like less than 50 fans attending the game.

Maybe they were over there game planning to hang half a hundred unanswered points? Maybe?

Bring james Kenan to Elizabeth city northeastern will play them

Forget JK... bring on the New England Patriots! They wouldn't stand a chance against your vaunted Eagles!

I drove three hours to see this game. Riverside looked better for the first two quarters. Their kicking game was a huge game changer. It was very inconsistent on distance and on coverage. A Riverside fan told me that the kickoff team almost always forced their defense to defend a 50 yard field. In the first half, up 14-0, it was the kick return that set up the big change in momentum. The second half started the same way. Short field resulted in a tied up game minutes in.

JK played at a different level during the second half. They showed emotion and began running off first downs at will. Riverside's qb was elusive, but the passing routes were mostly verticals. The one crosser he hit ended up as a scoring play. They only hit the TE once. The officials were not the greatest...allowing a bending player trying to pick up a fumble to be hit helmet to throat. That call was given a dead ball penalty, but in reality, the whistle blew after the hit. Targeting would have been a judgment call...but, it was close. The worse was the underthrown long passes. Receivers were hit on three big plays prior to the ball coming down. I know both receivers and defenders have a right to the ball, but neither can pull the other's jersey without penalty prior to the ball. It just looked like the side judge was very indecisive so a LOT of contact went on after the first quarter.

I was impressed with the JK coaching adjustments. I saw few from Riverside. In the end, I have seen West Montgomery and JK would be about equal to that level of athleticism and coaching. I think they will give Tarboro a good game next week.

JK's rush offense was not there during the first half, the reason they couldn't take advantage of the great field position. When they ran a reverse to #4 & a fake reverse to #4 it opened up the running game & they piled on the yardage. Some yardage came after RS had apparently cried "Uncle". I will say that #65 for RS had a lot to do with the JK offense looking out of sorts. To beat Tarboro the rush will need to be there earlier in order to set up the passing game.
