what about those monroe redhawks

Really have not heard anything on them ever since Zep Wall went down with the ACL. Still a tough team with all of the speed and athletes this team has but without Zep this team is really one dimensional in my opinion
Monroe defensively is very impressive. They are gap sound getting unbelievable penetration. Any one trying to run plays that take time to develop is probably wasting their time. You have to try and do quick hitters on them. They just do not give you time to get anything off consistently. They are so fast and aggressive on defense. Their defensive front 7/8 just does not stay blocked. I am very impressed with their play on that side of the ball. Anyone going against them has to play good defense on their end trying to win the field position battle, not turn the ball over and quick hit them on offense with quick traps and isos straight ahead and quick passing game. The offense has to be gap sound against them. They are a very good football team.
Very good defensive team with plenty of speed and athleticism at just about every defensive position,their an aggressive read and react defense that just keeps coming at you,their never out of a ballgame and we all know defense wins championships,I have them picked to will it all in 2AA...they can match Shelby athlete for athlete
They played us 7 on 7, i seen Shelby had few players Monroe could not match,
Nobody could stay with Bprders for Shelby,he had like 4 tds.
Not dogging Monroe out but they better have more then a run game to beat Shelby.

I still think Monroe is the real deal.
They still have the ability to win it all with or without their QB

Heck yeah, they're the real deal. Monroe concerns me more so than anyone on this quest for four straight. Shelby and Monroe are damn near mirror images of each other.
