For the first time in four weeks the Rams will have a normal, on the field practice routine.
Very difficult to show improvement or play well if you never practice.
On a positive note, Johnson and Widerman are expected to be cleared for practice maybe next week.
With any progress at all they should be ready to start by the playoffs, assuming Reidsville wins the conference. Anyone know why McMichael is looking so strong recently?
Yes, Tamir Johnson gives the Rams offense a third wide receiver. And they can all run.
At one point he was starting on offense last year. It was briefly though. He was at sb and it did majevthe offensive more dynamicWhen did he started playing offense? Wasnt last years.
.
`Seems so long ago., that spring season LOL.
I guess since he himself said he wasnt playing offense anymore that is where I got the idea from.
You may recall the Rams had a couple of fairly decent WRs on last years team. Didn't really need him on offense then. When did he started playing offense? Wasnt last years.
.
`
Yeah, if he doesn't want to I certainly wouldn't force it on him
Any schools looking at him, or any of our guys? That you know. I know cam has at least one offer.
In the spring season, Johnson had 4 carries for 42 yards and 6 receptions for 70 yards and 3 TDs.At one point he was starting on offense last year. It was briefly though. He was at sb and it did majevthe offensive more dynamic
How did the Harrison youngster look? He was getting a lot of pre season hype.I witnessed the Reidsville vs. Rockingham middle school game today (first half) ... Reidsville Raiders scored almost every time they touched the ball ... it was 40-something to 0 at the half. These future Rams have great size and speed ... but kinda hard to really tell against an inferior opponent, but Raiders won their first three games 44-0 (Eastern Guilford), 48-0 (Eden) and 40-0 (Western Rockingham) so this was the norm.
Neal is #1 and Harrison is #5….I'm helping coach the middle school o line. There are 4 or 5 absolute studs on the team. Dionte Neal 8th grade QB is outstanding. Great passer even better teammate and person. Expect big things from him on the field and more on the hardwood. Jaquez Tines just turned 13. 6'2" 240 OT DT. Has unreal natural talent. Doesn't understand his own strength. Kendre' Harrison 8th grade 6'5" 247 DE TE. Long and lean. Savion Johnson 8th grade FB LB. Hardest hitter on the team. 💯 Player on both sides of the ball. Speed everywhere. Size on both sides of the ball. We could have scored any time we wanted. Crazy thing about it is is we have more 7th graders than 8th. I'm not kidding when I say Tines and Harrison are high Power 5 prospects. Tines dad and brother are 6'6. Harrison is SEC size now.
Bashing 13-14 year old kids over a middle school game, Pitiful adults in this ole Rockingham CountyThey should be good. At least two of their players should be playing JV. (I believe there’s at least one more) #1 (starting QB and best athlete) and #5 (6’4 WR/DE) both played middle school football in 2019. The proof is on the Reidsville Middle football Facebook page. They both signed the 2019 Conference Championship poster. For those who are unaware you only have six consecutive semesters to play middle school athletics, however only four in football since you can not play in the sixth grade. So, how can you be a seventh grader in 2019 and still be playing in 2021?…… So yes, they do look like a JV team playing against a middle school team because they are….
I’m not the one that came on here talking about inferior opponents and winning 40something to 0 is the norm. There is not one statement or claim that I made that is not 100% correct. I’ll admit they would still be winning without those players but, inferior might be because they are not redshirt 8th graders.
Even without #5 and #1 Reidsville middle school would have put the same beating on Rock middle and the other county schools as they’ve always done. There’s talent behind #5 and #1 also.I’m not the one that came on here talking about inferior opponents and winning 40something to 0 is the norm. You're correct. You never see or hear a word from anyone when RMS softball or varsity softball gets their brains beat in year in and year out only because there are only 2 to 3 girls who've ever played the game. Want to talk about frustrating. I've lived it with my daughter for 6 years. You also never hear a word if a kid that lives in the Reidsville district leaves for Rockingham baseball, softball or women's golf...all of which are very good programs. Not intending to say anything negative about Reidsville Middle opponents, just that this edition of Raiders is extremely impressive. And it would be good to see how they would perform against better competition.
The opposite is true in other sports where Reidsville middle and high school can’t field competitive teams and have been on the losing end of mismatches on a similar scale of how Reidsville has been dominant in football.

Reidsville Middle played Eastern Guilford; Rockingham Middle had Northern Guilford on the schedule (game wasn't played due to virus)even die hard Reidsville fans like myself admit that this middle school conference is beyond pitiful (in football)..a shame that school board for the most part won't allow the middle schools to upgrade schedules and opponents....not just Rockingham County....this is true in most counties in regards to middle school programs
You totally missed the point, or maybe you didn’t miss it because you wanted to intentionally try to embarrass/call out or shine a negative light on 13-14 year old kids. In any event, do you buddy but instead of whining about decisions ADULTS made how about stop CRYING and focus that energy on developing your kids so they become better players and the score will not annually be 40 plus to 0I’m not the one that came on here talking about inferior opponents and winning 40something to 0 is the norm. No crying. You guys have a great program and a top notch coaching staff for a middle school program. Just peeling back the curtain to show that all things are not equal. Just don’t understand why you are using ineligible kids? As I’ve stated before, you guys would still be winning without them. You totally missed the point, or maybe you didn’t miss it because you wanted to intentionally try to embarrass/call out or shine a negative light on 13-14 year old kids.
