West Columbus at South Brunswick

In last years opening game, we lost to the Cougars 43 to 42, and I must say that I felt like we were much, much better than South Brunswick. I felt that with turnovers and a mistake here or there, we allowed South Brunswick to beat us. I do not see the same happening this year even though we did lose Fred Evans, Johnny McFadden, and a few other good athletes. What are your thoughts on this game? Coach Pierce, like Dove at South Columbus, has been wonderful for our kids and community so far. Expecting a much improved year out of my Vikings.

I too would like to see us do well,win some games,get confidence built up. Coach Pierce
certainly knows football,but he is limited with numbers. Always a problem at WC in football. I don't think they are in game shape. When u play a lot both ways u have to be in shape,OL,DL. We have a good qb and RB. WC should win more than previous 2 years,I would say 4or5 in reg. season would be improved then get to playoffs win one or 2 more would be a good season to build on. Winning 7 or 8 this year would be
great big improvement.
I like our chances vs SB tomm. It tough to go to Brunswick co. or Robeson and get a close win anyway. One game at a time for coach Pierce. He is good for WC football.
Coach Jones is great. We lucky to have him in any capcacity . we as a community need to support WC football. Good luck tomm.
