Errol Hood, David Harper, Maury Patterson, and Jamie Jenkins......all finished 8th grade at William Lenoir Middle school then they ended up at West.....but hey who cares, right?
If the school system has a policy requiring the player to live in the school district in order to play without sitting out 365 days the student / athlete is ineligible. He will then be required to set out 365 days and cannot play for the new school when he returns unless permanent residency of the nuclear family is established in the district. If the school personnel is shown to have had knowledge then there would be forfeits and financial penalties.

I still dont understand why this conversation is still going on? I am positive that clay lewis would not put at risk his team or his reputation if a student should not be able to play at hhs. The players in the past mean nothing, change the system, get the kids out to play, and make west caldwell a better place. You play in a very competitive conference and most teams travel well to games, so gates should be good. Make west caldwell a fun place for kids to play and people will come out to watch. The new track will dress up the place,, the train horn sucks!! (bout like hibriten and freedoms cannons) The kids go where the parents tell them to, fix it in the future not the past.
Your right he wouldn’t but West thinks their entitled! They cry about losing a player here and there like it would really make a difference. They suck plain and simple the problem is not HHS it’s no commitment to football! By the way if your a teacher your kid can go where he wants! The Anderson’s were border line SC....

I got a freshman at WC. I coulda done whatever and had him playing at HHS. I got plenty of relatives that live in Hibriten district. But we live in WC district. I'd love for him to be a Panther, where I went to HS myself. Played all his youth fb years at hhs but 1. Maybe we will get moved so that can happened. I coulda transfered him and he woulda sat out this year. But to me it was a better decision to play at WC, play varsity and get that hs experience than to be sitting in the bleachers on Fridays. Coulda broke the rules like some parents and kids on both sides have done in the past. But what do you teach your children by doing crap like that just to be in a better spot or jump on a better team. Nothing but do whatever you want to get what you want....thats what! He's had 3 sibblings graduate from WC and a 4th will this year as well. School board needs to do a better job on letting kids transfer just for sports. That's not a good enough reason IMO to let a transfer go through. WC can not rebuild a program with these kinda numbers, no matter who coaches. Enrollment this year is the lowest its ever been according to the AD. 740! One big problem with the fb program was the middle school problem that feeds into WC, but all signs say that has been taken care of. 740 is like 1A numbers. No way WC belongs in 3A. It will probably be a slaughter Friday nite. Everyone knows that. I just hope all these young men can go out and compete, with no discipline issues escalating and no injuries. Its all about these kids anyway. We all can sit in our comfy chairs at the house, joke, argue, bitch, piss and moan, or whatever. Its all fun and dandy. At the end of the day, its all bout these kids!

Lol this is funny to me. I love reading all the excuses year after year. West has had good football for the past few years. Titus 4 years was good football. One year they are way down everybody goes all to pieces. I coulda told ya years ago they would be down after that senior class graduation. Middle school has been horrendous.
William Lenoir plays at HHS and has moved next to Hibriten. If a kid is somehow lives in West district he should go to Gamewell. If a kid goes to gamewell no reason he should goto Hibriten unless he moves.

Shy’s class which was my daughters class was the last class to be able to choose where they could go! All years prior to then if you went to WLMS you had a choice. That’s why there were basketball players at West ghat should’ve been at HHS and vice versus with football players. He started at HHS but he played the address game to a tee to be able to transfer to West get killed on the football field then come back to HHS to graduate! That’s the worst case playing the transfer game you’ll ever see! What’s worse is they even lost in basketball that year. LMAO!!!!! So who feels sorry for poor little WCHS nobody just like no-one felt sorry for HHS when they were 0-40 in late 80’s early 90’s. LOL

Back in the glory days of West, when Biggerstaff led the way, Cub White was one of the standout backs.... Cub transferred from Freedom!

I wish we could recruit or we wouldn't have lost. However, this is about West Caldwell and I will say that I was on the sidelines of that game and didn't see any issues with West Caldwell, a few penalties here and there but nothing out of the ordinary.
Only issue I had that night was the coach calling a TO with 10 seconds left in a running clock game to score, but I was hungry and wanted to get home lol

Try 1st quarter lol. By half it’ll be over 50 with the bench in and some JV players and them even TRYING to not run it up and they’ll keep scoring....what you think a Hibriten player that won’t see a lick of playing time during playoffs with the ball and an open shot to the endzone is gonna stop and take a knee or fall down on purpose when his family is watching and cheering him? Yeah right.
Just looking at last weeks East Burke game anyone with sense knows EB is or may be nothing special. They MIGHT beat Draughn and Bunker Hill. They MIGHT get a TD against Foard, or heck they might be better than what I thought and end up with a .500 season. It’s really hard to for me to gage them but the Maiden game ought to clear that up. If they put up 42 on a team that is hurting bad enough to be about on the same performance scale as Highland Tech then I can’t imagine what Hibritens bench will do, not the starters, the bench. I’d assume Hibritens bench is better than EB’s starters is what I’m saying.

I would like to see East Burke make some noise - Lord knows its been forever. I like Coach Buff and would like to see him have a winning season. Probably enjoyed going over to his old school (West Caldwell) and getting a W last week. He, like many couldn't get wins while at West Caldwell.

Nah it's still 2A numbers but on the low end. 740 would put them above 22 2A schools enrollment wise

Hey, I'm all about going/transferring or whatever else you need to do to put yourself in the best possible position available. Coaches will leave a school/community at the drop of a hat, but complain when a student athlete does it. A little better job comes available..... GONE. This is life in general. People will leave one job/company for another, if it betters them. If a student athlete does transfer or switch schools, there is a parent \adult or legal guardian involved. So as long as the kid is age/academically eligible, I don't care where he plays!
Guys if we gonna have 2 people throw down do it over Democrat and Republican or something, not a high school thing....gee lol.
