Wow! I never really believed it when I first heard SP may be going 2A. I am sure the next realignment they will move back to 3A but until then we will make new friends in the 2A arena.
Can't imagine there is much difference in 2A. When you consider Shelby, Lincolnton, Reidsville and a host of others there isn't much difference.
South Point brings the vast majority of their 2016 team with them when they roll into 2A next year. Their JV's shared the conference championship and the middle school won the county championship this year. The next 4 years at South Point is going to be very good.

Reidsville could possibly be 2AA again..who knows...they've flipped back and forth over the years...............

Will Seadog be bringing all his old jokes to this board or will he get some new material? Any way welcome to 2A.

It will be interesting to see how much the realignments/reclassifications change the balance(s) of power. A lot of storied programs already at this level, plus some moving in as well. Can't wait to see the first set of rankings, from a distance feels like it is going to be very competitive.

Also think that group of kids (2A as a whole) could be more than equally represented next year on the AP all state team!

I'm glad a Muse got to terrorize Alabama a little. It make never feel a bit better about how the other Muse terrorized our team!

remember sp next stop could be 1A.

Enjoyed seeing the punt block by Tanner Muse in the NC game. Also noticed Carlos Watkins from Chase played a great game for Clemson and BJ Emmons from Freedom on the sideline for Bama.

rumor has it that sp will be trending closer to 1A than 4A in the future.
Ignorance is bliss. SP peninsula is exploding with growth. Mounties can look up the word "peninsula" in their Webster dictionary down at the library.

I can see SP going back to 3A, but would the school be able to support the number of students if they eventually become a 4A sized school?

Last I heard the plan is to distribute the South Point students that haven't defected to Stuart Cramer already to East Gaston and Cramer and use the SP facility for Maintenance Dept. to service the schools in western end of county. Should take effect in 2020.

Kind of like what Cleveland County did with the old Central School in Kings Mtn?

This is the same Crest hog farmer that fertilized an acre of pasture land with the idea it would spread in to 2 acres if he fertilized it enough. Trust his ideas....there in effect now.

Haha ICF, Last heard that some buildings at Crest were going to be used to house and display the overflow of Shelby State Championship trophies. Should take effect immediately.

Thats a false rumor Seadog, Shelby has plenty of room for their 2a trophies. Those 2a trophies are 1/3 the size of a 3A and 1/5 the size of our 4A trophies. Kinda like the participation trophies they give at the YMCA now..

I believe that is what Crest received this year was a participation trophy.Because that is about all they did in most of their games.

Must be the same source that said Trump had no chance. Did you hear it on CNN, NBC or MSNBC?

My source is the man that named Stuart Cramer school. I don't remember his name. He said he is on some kind of committee that is currently studying the best way to distribute students to outlying schools.
