I hear every year that the NWC is weak but a NWC team has been in the state Championship game in 2017,2018 and 2019 With East Surry winning 56-28 over Tarboro, a team with 44 straight wins. Yes the bottom of the NWC & SMC are weak but so is most other conferences weak at the bottom. The NWC & SMC play tough nonconference games and use their weaker bottom teams to get ready for the playoff. Congrats again East Surry for a great game plain.
