I didn't realize it till I did some research, trying to see why Wake Forest was so good again this year. Having 17 of 22 starters returning probably has something to do with it.

I've never understood this logic. I've seen it applied to other teams as well. Why are they automatically the favorite, only because they haven't lost yet? Each team is different. Each season is different. When the 2016 season was over, you start with a clean slate 10 2017. You're made a favorite because of what you're doing THIS YEAR, not because some team was champ last year and haven't lost yet this year. They are the defending champs and the title favorite until someone knocks them off
I understand why they are the favorites I never got the defending part- It is not the the same team unless it is truly the same roster with no players leaving so that part i don't get. It's like clemson this year they are last years national champions That is it no more no less. But I still will put my money on WF until they meet the Creek if that how it shakes out. Creek made a believer out of me. WF is very good but the depth at the Creek is insane and they are young.I've never understood this logic. I've seen it applied to other teams as well. Their road would be much tougher going small through the east. On the other hand 4a west would be easier IMO.
Creek and Heritage will give them all they want. If they go small and 34 is healthy we will give them all they want. They are very good though.I'm sure what ever road they take, will be an easy one for them!
