Update on Reidsville Community Stadium Turf Field

They are putting the finishing touches on the field. Doing the yardage markers now, which are cutouts inserted. Will have to do the logo at center field and the Rams in the end zone.

The field turf is green, of course, and is surrounded by about a three foot gold outline. The team and coaches boxes are gold. The end zones are blue.

Very striking design.

Bought time Reidsville gets treated like the king of NC football that it is. One thing no one expects is a program like Reidsville to ever have subpar facilities. So it seems things are starting to come around.

I'll say as far as seating, I thought are stadium was fine. But the visitor side needed improvement and of course the field.

The Lowe’s grant of 300k was earmarked for visitor restrooms and concessions at the football field, renovating gym restrooms for handicapped access, and new a/c in the gym. This is according to News 2 article.

From a personal point of view, I wondered how this process could be in place and the basketball coach be ignorant of the process. About a week before this article came out, he was on Twitter whining about all the attention on the fundraiser for the field when he needed air in the gym.

To add, tweet from Ross was 6/13/22. The story on News 2 was 6/23/22. Again, how does he not know about this plan. I also feel the administration delayed the football coach hire to not “steal his thunder” during the playoff basketball run.

I wouldn't think $300,000 will go that far
 
The grant for the gym AC was different, from my understanding. When the bids came in for the Gym Ac they were astronomical.
There are a lot of moving parts. Several sources of funds for the turf. NFL, Panthers, Reidsville Area Foundation, School System and private funds.
Concession stand and bathroom on visitor side grant from Lowe's.

Please be wary of newspaper articles or TV reporting. What they report is often not what is going on.

I posted about the updates, including home field seating and a/c the gym, because of reports from what someone who most definitely can make it happen.

For you to Call Coach Ross IGNORANT is laughable. I would like to see your educational background and career achievements compared to his. Most hoopers are glad the basketball program is back and we have a Coach that is advocating for the program and the players. If you call that whining thing you are a fool. Please explain how announcing information about football would still thunder from the Basketball team going to the State Championship? That is the most ignorant uninformed statement I have read in a long time buddy.. By the way, I'm sure the basketball coach is glad that you follow him on twitter...LOL

For what it's worth, he didn't call the coach ignorant, he said he was ignorant of the process.

Ross has far more credit hours than I earned. The common vernacular for my profession is “I drive truck.” But you sir, as pointed out by Mr Fantic, have no grasp of the definition or context of the word ignorant. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Went by today and they have the logo on 50. Lettering in the end zones. Nice, Clark. Real Nice
 
videos don't do it justice...worth a trip to park the car and get on the walking trail behind stadium to see it up close.....beautiful....gotta feel for those guys that are out their working on that site in this hot humid weather....................
 
since that video...the RAM head logo has been added at midfield and the south end zone has RAMS and the north end zone (closest to school) has REIDSVILLE...both in white lettering with gold borders....looks really nice.........

Maybe the best looking football field I have ever seen, and I've seen hundreds of them both at high schools and colleges all over the country. Very striking. The end zone lettering on the blue turf is perfect.
 
Whewww. That was a close one. I was hoping it would be paid for before I won 620 million tonight. 🤣🤣

I may have to go check it out next Saturday. On call this weekend. Be a good excuse to go eat some BBQ!

Trust me that program has enough of my money to pay for a few cars.

Now if someone could get the Rams a new "Ram Van" that would be nice. Especially since they got a beat up old Suburban and the other schools got Escalades LOL

Lol don't feel to bad. I've donated more then a few cars to my program and they won't even let me into home games lol
