Absolutely. I’d be happy to help out as well. Can get Facebook world involved too.

Here is what was shared at North Davidson from a staff member:

*Items will be collected from Wednesday, September 19th to Friday, September 28th

We all are aware that Hurricane Florence ravaged many areas throughout the Carolina's. Let us come together and focus on helping those in need of assistance. Our focus will be on the Duplin County Community, and more specifically the community around East Duplin High School, that many visited last year during the football playoffs. Massive flooding took place in the area that has them in dire need of aid in many regards.Let us do our part to help their community heal while providing many basic essentials to help those in need during this time of crisis.

Furthermore, we will be collecting relief items at the following places and times:

NDHS Front Office (Items can be dropped off between 7:45 am-3:15 pm)

Any NDHS Teacher Classroom

NDHS vs. South Rowan Varsity Football Game (Friday, September 21st) at the entrance to the stadium

NDHS vs. West Davidson JV/V Volleyball (Tuesday, September 25th) at the entrance to the gym

NDHS vs. West Davidson JV Football Game (Thursday, September 27th) at the entrance to the stadium

We will collect items through Friday, September 28th.

Items that are critical to aiding with recovery efforts include:
Bottled Water
Diapers/Wipes
Canned Goods and Manual Can Openers
Non-Perishable Food Items
Blankets/Pillows
Toiletries-soap, shampoo, disposable razors, shaving cream, toilet paper
First Aid Items
Cleaning Supplies-garbage bags, rubber gloves, masks, scrub brushes, sponges, air freshener
Pet Food
Paper Towels
School Supplies
Flashlights
Batteries

Let me just say once again, from the East Duplin community, we appreciate all efforts.

I’d say at least a 1/5 of our county is still underwater with the emphasis on the Town of Chinquapin and the surrounding area. And when I say underwater, I mean in some parts you can only see the tops of houses.

I can’t say it enough, thank you all for your attempts to help my community.
