Hopefully, we will find out tomorrow where the game will be played. Looks good for playing it at Pisgah Memorial Stadium. If not the game will be played at WCU.

I was wondering how the cleanup was going and if they would have the game.
Any word are they rebuilding again or going to find a different venue for the future?

Both. Rebuilding and School board says they are trying to buy land out of the flood zone. If they had the land now, it would take 3-4 years to build all the fields.

Yeah, this thread used to be 2-3 pages a week before "game week" now 4 days prior to the game, we only have 5-6 posts. What happened to all the Haywood co folks posting on here? Got too old and moved on or did Pisgah's dominate run over the last decade send the Mounties packing?

Can’t believe there are now only 3 posts about this game. One of, if not the best rivalry in N

The storm recovery changed everything this year up here in the mountains. For the first two weeks we were cut off from the outside world. I guarantee you that Pisgah and Tuscola fans will pack it out Friday!

Oh we are still here. The board just isn’t the same. Lots in both sides not posting much anymore.

Pisgah Memorial Stadium Is Back!

After 40 days of hard work and dedication, we're thrilled to announce that Pisgah Memorial Stadium is officially back in action! Join us this week as we host our first home games in the stadium, featuring Pisgah vs. Tuscola matchups in both soccer and football.

Come out, show your support, and celebrate the return of Pisgah Memorial Stadium with us. Let's fill the stands and make this a week to remember!

Go Pisgah! Go Bears!!

Nice to hear, the atmosphere at Pisgah always seems to be a bit better IMHO, maybe because their sound system seems better than at CEW stadium. I think playing at Western we would have also lost some of that. Great for the Bears!!!!! Give sight edge to Pisgah in this one based on the season results so far.

We will be selling 50/50 tickets Friday morning at the ACE Hometown Hardware stores in Canton and Waynesville from 9am-Noon. Go Bears!

I never thought we would see this glorious day come to pass at this venue again. I was wrong and am glad to admit it. I really ashamed to say the outcome of the game is of less importance to me this year.....Just that the game happens will be so healing to weary Haywood folks, whichever team they support. Take a bow Haywood County! However this game turns out we have all won! JMO.

It was good to host the game for the first time in years. It shouldn’t have been this close of a game but nerves, miscues, etc made for an “edge of your seat” finish.

Pisgah receivers missed two “wide open as you could get” passes that would have been TDs that should have had the game at 21-0 at half. However, between nerves and being so wide open you lose focus, it happens. Tuscola, on the other hand, came out a little too emotional and chippy and cost themselves in penalties early on and little throughout the game.

Solid defense by Pisgah most of the night and Tuscola’s kid that jumped the route for an interception made a great read on the ball and you knew it was a sure fire TD when it landed in his hands. Tuscola did a good job of keeping momentum from hanging with us after halftime.

All in all, the boys from Haywood County provided a good show last night on the river.

Now, I just hope Pisgah doesn’t get a conference rematch for the 1st round but it looks pretty likely. Coach Brindley may be “gifted” a second look at his old Mustangs and they seem to be playing good ball. We’ll see how it shakes out.
