5 teams from the triad have made it to the championship: REIDSVILLE, DUDLEY, PAGE, EASTERN GUILFORD AND WEST MONTGOMERY. There is some good football being played in this area.

Congrats to Reidsville's own Doug Robertson, coach of Eastern Guilford. He was the Rams' head man when they won it all in 2009.
Why can't we get e.Guilford and page scheduled? they r very close in proximity. so is dudley. e.Guilford use to be n conference.
I know there are many great areas of football in NC but if everyone is honest look at the number of titles from basically 3 counties.
Reidsville, Cummings, Graham, Page, Northern Guilford, Williams, Dudley, Andrews have all win multiple Championships over a long period of time

Yeah Triad is representing the west really well this year(Eastern Guilford was sent east but still a western team).
Last year it was the 704 region, this year it's the Triad. Everyone gets there time, and 2016 is your time.

How about 1 county with only 4 high schools. Cleveland County is the best football county in the state.

Yep...can't deny it. 50% of our high schools have played in back to back to back state championships the last 3 years and now 25% is going for a fourth in a row.
Guilford County actually has 15 high schools. U probably didn't count Ragsdale and the 2 High Point schools but they are in Guilford co.
Rockingham county only has 4 high schools and reidsville is one.... Just like Cleveland county and Shelby... What's your point?
I give much respect to Triad teams that are gunning for state titles this weekend. Triad area got FOUR teams. I never considered Montgomery County as part of Triad.Heck that county is a lot closer to Pinehurst area than Triad. I always consider WM Warriors as part of Sandhills area of NC.
72 Champion Yes, I certainly remember that Cleveland County has three teams that won State Titles. Back then, there were no split classes. That was a great year for them. I think it was 1994? Burns, Crest and Shelby won the titles. Now Guilford County has a shot for something special. Leave it alone and let Guilford County fans rejoice . Hello Duck, my friend. I still read the forums quite a bit but I'm in a position now where I have to be extra careful about commenting. I really miss interacting with my e-friends about the best sport in the world, Friday night football. Wish I had known you were around Friday night, would like to have caught up with you at the game.
Who licked the candy off your apple? We have never had 3 of the 4 schools win State Championships in the same year. '94 was Crest in 4A and Burns in 3A.

Lexington and Thomasville haven't been great lately but historically speaking match up well with many.
