alright folks... I see both sides of this one... let me know what you think.

North Davidson practiced yesterday at 6am. I do not know if they were practicing on the football field or the track. They went to the press box and fired up the PA system, blaring music at top volume. Some neighbors have complained, as they were off work.

That being said, North isn’t really in a residential area, so the neighbors are few and maybe one house that I know of would be directly in the path of the speakers.

Is the football program being a bad neighbor with the loud volume that early in the morning, or is that just part of living near a high school?

Note: it was a teacher workday, so they were not allowed to practice between the hours of 8am and 3pm.

Did they give the “neighbors” any warning?? That would be the only thing I could see wrong with it so that they weren’t scared something terrible was going on

Not that I know of. I lean towards siding with the school in this situation. Honestly... people that heard it could be a half mile away... that’s not on the school.

As long as it is not 11pm-5:59am I don't think they can do much about it. Looks like ND is serious about an opponent. Must be a great game coming

I think it's fine as long as they were practicing within the hours or days allowed by nchsaa. It's not like a hs was dropped into the neighborhood overnight. I think it's great. Keep working hard and go after a champion ship
