Thomasville @ Mitchell Round 3

I saw one guy with what looked like a Chick-fil-A sandwich last week.. they've been known to go wherever the closest one is a by a bunch.

Normally I would agree with you on that, but Tom Freeman makes some high quality Carolina BBQ. All meat, no rub, vinegar based sauce. Good stuff. Now, the best BBQ I've ever eaten was on the outskirts of Lexington, literally in the middle of a corn field. Little tiny restaurant, for the life of me I can't remember the name...

Same as what we already thought, a good team as expected. We beat quite a few and lost to some over the years. Still proud of my Dogs for this season. We will be back.😁
Well that was interesting. Props to Tville. They had the opportunity to lay down but continued to play hard right up to the end. Most nights I give props to Mitchell’s 2, 22, 7 and the skill guys ( and they deserve it again). BUT, tonight that changes. Mitchell doesn’t have almost 500 yards without the line play. Thought the Mitchell offensive line totally controlled the game. Congratulations guys.
I thought that Tville had some dangerous weapons but was kept in check for the most part. Mitchell defense wasn’t giving up the huge chunk plays and made Tville drive the field which helped keep the clock running.
I will say after kicking the ball pretty much out of bounds the entire night that Mitchell made a big ol mistake to kick to #2. We were warned and yep he got Mitchell.

That's what I was looking for the comment were a Thomasville guy said I dare you to kick it to #2 he was right about that I never did understand why not just kick it past the 35 and out of bounds. Though Mitchell D started not playing as well towards the end of the first half 21 point and one of those being the kick return concerning they started every drive around the 40+ isn't to bad..I will add on offense #26 also ran well tonight and #4 besides running did a good job himself on kick-off returns almost broke one himself and congrats to out kicker glad he got to kick a field goal that was a big boost going into the half after they had scored. But I thought if Mitchell was to win it was upto the lineman making blocks and just running the ball and keeping their offense off the field and that's what they did. But congrats to Thomasville for a good season and they never quit.
Any of you notice that dad screaming at his kid telling him he let his town down then ranting and cussing all the way to his car like he was looking for a fight or something? Thomasville just tan into a good team tonight with kids who genuinely like ea other the kids for the most part played clean it was a great game
This game should have been over in the first half. The Mitchell fumble at the Thomasville 2 gave them life. If they had went down 28 to zip it would have been a blow out. Props to them for not giving up and playing hard to the end.

I didn't hear it but I wonder if the man we could hear hollering so loud that I could hear a few words where I was sitting on the top on the other side but I couldn't tell who exactly he was upset with ,I believe I heard him say #4 once.
Tvilledawg, hope all that speed is getting you down the mountain quick. If I recall, I promised you all would need it for that long ride home.

I know one thing if you go by yourself to a high school football game on a cold night with a portable propane heater you'll find friends very soon.😅
Well marked one off my bucket list tonight !! Always wanted to see a game at Mitchell and I wasn’t disappointed!!! Well coached very smart players with a ton of heart!! Congrats Mountaineers !!! By the way beautiful stadium and friendly people to boot 👍
That's AWESOME according to some of your Homer's you guys wasn't supposed to win I guess it was upset fri, I saw Cloudland at Avery Scrimmage and have bragged on em ever since they remind me of a SMC team
I prefer eastern style but Lexington style is good also.
It was a great game to. Cloudland scored with 1.4 left to make 21-20. Couldland goes for 2 to get the win 22-21 . Cloudland RB has almost 2800 yards on the year and 41 TDs. Then all 3 Carter County teams won. Hampton won easy. Elizabethton beat Greeneville in a rematch. 3 teams in the Semi’s.
He was standing beside the Fieldhouse cussing ranting and raving at his kid then when he finally left he hollered and cussed all the way to the parking lot used the f word a lot, he was looking for trouble I'm kind of surprised he wasn't arrested

South Pittsburgh. It more than likely want be pretty unless it’s really cold and snows. The 2 1a teams in the West left are the best teams in 1a Peabody and McKenzie . I’m just happy this group of kids made it this far. My son grew up playing with most of them. Wish he would of had one more year with them.

One thing I noticed last night, several Thomasville players were slow to get up and had to be helped off the field. I believe they all returned to the game though. I guess them old slow plow mules and the cold had something to do with that
I noticed that too the one that laid there for a good while had me worried because they were acting pretty concerned was surprised when he walked off. But the others even #1 was limping off once then back in it was like they were cramping or something.
It's his thread isn't that kinda like being the host and leaving your guess at a party never to be see again?
