Congrats Shelby is a true football school and Program. I have always been impressed with the coaches and teams that come out of that place. Shelby reminds me of Aliquippa PA a lot as far as football goes and that is a true compliment

Bring it brother...how's the couch been in December the past 6 years? 6 down 24 to go to match the 3 decade absence of the 70s, 80s, and 90s.

Looks like 2016 may be one of the best Shelby teams of all time. #16 in 2016....what happens when we reach #18 in 2018?

One team won it's titles before most schools were around and the other won half the titles playing against a small portion of the state! Most ppl don't count those on the same level as a state title. We don't even count our 65 title! You guys would count it, though. Lol.

In bball most folks give more credit to Hayesville's 8 in a row than they do to BM 11 in a row. Same thing here.

If that's the case then 2001 started a new dead zone....no unified champ so you can't count '14. In the last 30 years you've been to three titles only winning two...congrats. We've been to 12 winning 8. Nice run from lates 60s to early 80s, but not a whole lot since.

You can't be a no show from 1992 to 2014 and then jump into the conversation. This is about SUSTAINED dominance. Besides, Swain Co. is your Robbinsville daddy and you know it.

I think it's about time that Shelby start playing some good out of state game for nationally recognition with their record. There are a few teams in Georgia that will give them a game even a home and home that are nationally recognized and they are Colquitt County that has the money to offer them a two game back to back in Georgia if they want to make some money also Camden County that play teams from any where and has the money to pay and travel,North Gwinett,McEachren another very good team and their are more. Shelby should also try and get a game in the Corky kell Classic that is played in the Atlanta metro some at some school site like McEachren who stadium is one of the best in the country for a high school and is a lot better than some D2,D3,and 1AA stadium and have the money to pay schools. The Corky Kell Classic have a lot of major sponsors like Metro PC etc.

Will Shelby be willing to play in the Corky Kell Classic in Atlanta in season 18/19 to show the nation what they are all about? Why don't you guys in the Shelby area and ask their people in charge will they accept the offer if ask? The organizer of the classic stated he will consider them or Mallard Creek. The contact person in charge of the Corky Kell Classic a national known classic which normally just have top teams from Georgia. His name is Dave Hunter his email is DaveandBeverly@Comcast.net if you need to talk to him about inviting Shelby or Mallard Creek for the 18/19 classic.
