Congrats, I will always be a Stallion fan but will also exercise my right to free speech. Best of luck and the community is behind you.

Dempsey is a practical choice. Young and grew up in a strong era of Stallion football. Seems to be doing well with wrestling team, baseball well nobody is perfect. Lol.

Above anything I think his family ties when it comes to education and administration should serve him well.

Football wise he should be bring back a very strong line on both sides of the ball. The crazy amount of athletes that SWO has had the past two seasons are depleted, but with a strong defense and strong O-line he should have a chance. Schedule is brutal as SWO is getting smaller all the area teams are growing in number which is always rough to overcome.

JUST.BEAT RICHLANDS THIS YEAR AND I'M GOOD. LOL

ROFL @ sameolething4

sameolething4, being that SWO got the nine mile area and Jacksonville got Rock Creek area of the Richlands school district due the new school alignment we will be lucky if we could beat a pee wee team this year.

Wildcat, this year belongs to Jacksonville high School as far as county rivals go. Northside will be strong, but IMHO maybe down a notch from last year. Eason's teams do get better as season goes, but I am thinking Jacksonville will beat them this year and every other Onslow team.

SWO, It will be interesting to see what a younger mind that has seen all types of football and formations will go with this year. I feel SWO should be good, but it's Dempsey who will have to decide how Southwest will play offense this year. Don't want to be in his shoes. I don't think SW has won a conference crown since returning to 2a, and the clock is ticking on another championship visit.

High expectations and having to train kids to do the work. Dempsey might have felt like he won the lottery getting the gig, but he must pay the taxes once the season begins.

How about Dixon? Will any of the redistricting help them be competitive in football?

Dixon, simple answer is NO. Where do you begin with Dixon. First you have to really wonder if they really are giving full support to there program meaning do they have an off season program? I am not talking about a few good parents having there kids lifting every now and again.

Redistricting gives them nothing and I am not the source of exactly which areas went where, but if anything Dixon should loose students. From my understanding the area was growing fast and more people are using it as a place to get away from Jacksonville hectic streets.

Dixon football there is so many things to say in a negative light about that program, but it is easier just to say that they are more of a beach area that concentrates more on Volleyball, baseball and sometimes has a good soccer team. A lot of the better athlethes in the Dixon district do not play Football and nothing I am hearing is changing about that.

When Dixon has a good football player MOST of the time they are playing football at another county school when they get to high school.

We are waiting for "signing day". Just playing. Sure Dempsey and staff are wondering who is going to be on the roster themselves.
