Nigeria (yes, Nigeria) just beat the USA in basketball. However, while watching the highlights, I just discovered something even crazier.
Starting for the Nigerians was an undersized forward by the name of Ike Nwamu. I watched Ike Nwamu play for the Asheboro Blue Comets around 2010-2011. He was a very fun player to watch. He ended up transferring to Westchester his junior year and was on many a Youtube highlight reel. Matter of fact, he threw down a nice dunk tonight.
I never, ever, ever thought I would see someone who played b'ball in Randolph County be a part of one of the biggest upsets in history. Congrats to him (and Nigeria).
