Coach Scott Johnson has retired as HFC at Starmount. He still will be AD at the school. He wants to spend more time with his family. The Rams will probably stay in-house for the new coach. They have 3 former head coaches on staff in Sandy Grinton, Elbert Thomas, and Jeremy Funderburk.

Some of his coaching accomplishments;

2005-17 (13 seasons as Head Coach) 102 wins and 63 losses - 6 conference championships - 2 Western Regional appearances (2008, 2014) - 1AA Western Regional champ (2014) - 1AA NCHSAA State Runner-up (2014)

Congrats to Coach Johnson on his successful career!

According to the WSJ Grinton will be taking over. Great career by Johnson. Hate he could never get that state title as a head coach.

Thank you coach Johnson for making an impact on so many young mens lives on and off the field.
