Southwest Onslow/Northeastern

It's a LONG, LONG way from 2013. Dont know about NE but no where near the same SWO. Big difference is the defense. Maybe, just maybe if they can hold down the turnovers they could have a snow balls chance in He**. They mix the run and pass pretty good. If NE cant stop Johnson and Mahone on the ground might be close. Again Stallion Defense will tell the story.
These are not the Stallions of old but I stand by what I said in the beginning of the season they will be ok once they get rolling. If NE can't stop the run. Long night for them. SWO will smack you in the mouth. If NE come and take them lightly they will get beat. Should be a close one. You winning by 40 don't think so.
SWO has all the tools to be in the mix they just have to get them together in the same box and leave out their mistakes. they have lost to some quality teams and played a pretty good schedule. Their confrence was as strong as it has been in afew years. since they are not playing ED im pulling for ecc go stallions
Tale of one team that has a tougher conference, but still lost the tough games. Another team with easier schedule, and won. Question is how good is NE? If this is the NE of 2013 then they beat SWO by 50. I am picking SWO they have a accurate QB and I would not be surprised if a couple of SWO pass plays win this.
Send Swo to Virginia to play the top ranked team and see how they would fair or to hunt hell they would lose to Edenton too this team is just as good as the 2013 team was
Dude you got blown out by this top ranked VA school, you also barely squeezed out an OT victory against a 3-8 VA squad. Your conference loss against Hertford (I think that is the team) makes me think NE is suspect at best. There is no way to justify the other teams on your schedule because the teams just were not good.
So with all that said I believe any remaining 2a east teams could beat each other as I see no really special teams out there in the east ( very weak).
NCC has always been notorious for being a weak conference. As of tomorrow's game, it will not be a blowout. I expect SWO to ground and pound while Northeastern tries to spread it out. You got to look past SWO's 7-5 record. They're a good team. Still think Northeastern finds a way to win this one, but don't be surprised if it's a close game in the 4th.
Hate to break up the party that the NCC is weak and Northeastern's schedule sucks but according to Simmons SWO has the 15th hardest 2A schedule and NE has the 17th hardest schedule and the East Central Conference is the toughest true 2A conference and the NCC is the 2nd toughest true 2A conference.
Surprise surprise surprise.... Running clock on this SWO team that can beat anyone in our weak conference

Do not think that NCC is weak. I am a South Columbus fan and we saw a tough Bertie team in Round 1 and NE and Holmes are rolling right now. Not to mention Hertford Co in 2AA. Next week the NE/Holmes matchup will be interesting.
im an East Duplin fan, so i definitely dont route for our bitter rivals SWO. but make no mistake about it, if this was a normally strong SWO team, NE would have never beat them. you better enjoy this one. teams from your area of the state dont usually do well against teams from our way.

96panther you and the rest of y'all mouthy fans from yall area need to speak with your area teams about accepting our non conference games...so we can shut that mouth... I get so tired of hearing that tough guy talk from y'all , apparently you dont have the internet because if you did you could look up some recent playoffs , and it dont seem to show all these state titles you guys act like you own....or all these victories you have against Us.... And if you want to live in the reality of today and now, the 2a and 2aa have 8 teams remaining in the east.. NCC have 3 of the 8 left...

No it's not that we don't have respect for anyone from SE NC Football they don't respect us...northeastern will go anywhere and play anybody but I respect what all of them have done
THE BOTTOM LINE SWO did turn it over 3 times early and give NE 3 easy scores. The actual differences in the game was the defensive line of NE, they dominated the line of scrimmage, and the OVERALL speed of NE. SWO was unable to run misdirection plays due to NE's penetration. It also appeared that SWO may have adjusted their defense for NE's passing attack which led to huge holes for NE running backs. NE played the 2nd string and JV players the entire 2nd half with the running clock. NE was by far the quicker and more physical team on Friday night.
NE has a ton of explosive talent and are very difficult to defend when they are in the spread offense. If they continue to execute like they have the last 2 weeks they are going to be difficult to beat in the EAST, I can't speak for the West, I don't follow the West.
SWO is a good team, and they are gonna get better, they play in a talented conference and Coach Dempsey will have them ready next year for a deep run.

Oh I do remember those games well, and Northeastern as you know along with Coach Moore things have changed a little...
I hate when a team takes a loss fans come up with the word "if". If we were this or if we were that we would have... Anybody could say that especially my Falcons. lol
i respect anybody who respects me. you say you respect what our area has done but you have already overlooked East Duplin and put Hertford in the game vs the winner of Clinton/NS. im not saying Hertford cant beat us. like i have said many times, any team still in the playoffs has to have a good team, and are capable of winning on any given night. that being said, Friday night one team will win, and one will lose. if HC beats us, more power to them. i think if we play well we will win, but i know it could also go the other way.
if we were to play, you might get your mouth shut, instead of the other way around.
I see you must be the Panthers version of SWO's Ninja...but I'll leave you to your thoughts...maybe one day our paths will cross...until then keep running your mouth...
