Looks like this will be a good one! SC playing some good ball this year, and so are my raiders.Don't let the 2 and 2 record fool you. The Red Raiders are packed with talent. They just have to start playing disciplined ball. Hopefully they will stop the silly arguing on the sidelines with themselves and play better as a team. I do like the fact that SP will and can throw the ball this year. Good luck to both teams. Raiders are hungry so watch out Storm! Cant wait to see the comments on this.

Just curious if the rumors are true wasnt at the game, havent had a chance to go to any this year. But I heard that 2 of sp starters got into an altercation on the sidelines friday and now may not play.

Stuart Cramer may be 3-0, but they are a very weak 3-0 considering the schedule they have played thus far. I look for them to be humbled in a big way the next 3 weeks as they face South Point (their daddy), KM, and Crest. If they aren't 3-3 after that I'll be very surprised.

Same here...but they are not bad and capable of springing an upset. They have a very good running and passing game. Defense is above average.

It appears the purple mist do not want to play SP. The JV game at SP was moved to Wednesday night in prep for the hurricane. The varsity game at SC can not decide on what to do, knowing full well that there will be no game on Friday night. They are probably hoping the rain comes in and lingers for days as some projections show. This would not allow the game to even be played. How convenient.

I thought varsity had already been moved to Thursday?

They are the Storm, right.....play ball

No decision yet is latest I heard. nothing posted on the SuperRaider website and they are usually the first to post.

Lol so it's not posted on super raider and the first thing you think of is it must be Cramer's fault? But that's the simple minded way of Belmont for you.

Babyhewey, in case you are not familiar with high school football, the home team makes the call in these situations. If you don't know that, I am sure you also don't know that the purple mist is the home team. Therefore, it is their responsibility to make the call and get the word out. But fear not, the Raiders will put you out of your misery Thursday night. You will be lucky to score as usual in this series. Think running clock by early third quarter.

Just returned from the JV game which SP won 35-14. SP has a QB coming along who is going to be special. Best run/pass combination that I have seen for the Raiders. Numbers are down for the JV but the talent is there.

So again you go to a sp website that has no affiliation with the mist as you call them for your news on the situation? If you cant see the ignorance in your actions then you sir are worse then you feel I am. Yes I do know who the home team is and I do know the decision was made on Monday, find a more reliable source then super raider it might help you in the future

We crap bigger than Cramer! Coach Hodge is taking care of the discipline on his team. Cramer has no discipline. That said, this might be tight.

After watching SP play Crest (hardest hitting game I have seen in quite some time), I cant imagine Cramer being able to generate much offense against SP. With Hale back at the QB, SP will probably grind them down slowly.

By the time the purple mist finish this weekend getting flattened by the Raiders and Florence, they may change their name from the Storm to the Dry Heave.

Cramer loaded the box and SP just sent Jones behind big Dowdy all night long. My guess is that Jones probably had 250 yards. Cramer moved the ball in the first half but SP adjusted and gave them nothing in the 2nd half. Not sure that they made it to the SP side of the field in the 2nd half.

Well well well BabyHuey, we figured out when the game was after all. Apparently the Storm still thought it was to be played on Friday for the effort they put in. Not undefeated any longer since they attempted to play somebody. Seriously, the Storm did look pretty decent in the first half. Their offense look quick and sharp but after the Raider adjustments at the half, they looked like the same Storm as all previous years. So much for one of the "powerhouses" of the Big South 3A. I think Crest is the only powerhouse in that conference. The rest are pretenders except maybe for Huss.

Babyhuey, 7. Redraider73, 33 !!!

As a consolation, I bet the Cramer drama department is good.

I'll give it to the kids at sp they played the whole game. I didn't see anything different in the second half that sp did defensively cramer came out flat in the second half gave little to no effort close to what was there is the first half. It looked to be a damn good game at the half. Cant play just 1 half though

It is unfair to say that your kids gave no effort in the 2nd half. Kids played their butts off the entire game. Accusing them of quitting in the 2nd half is a slap in the face to the kids and coaching staff. SP was the better team and won the game.

All I could think while watching this game was.....how bad is Mtn Island Charter? How bad is the coaching? How bad is the talent over there? How bad is 1a football?
We're not a real good team (C+ ?). Stuart Cramer is MAYBE a D- team, and SP pulled away from them and controlled the tempo, direction and outcome of the game handily. This was the year SC...you missed your chance. Maybe in 2 years you will have another good chance.

0ur defense, more specifically our tackling, is embarrassing. I guess it's the generation. A lot of the kids before and after this current four year group could/can tackle from Belmont. I don't know much about this current group at SPs history playing - but that's where you learn to tackle (before now)...and HS coaches refine you if at all. You either can or can't, so no time wasted for those who can't. But.....my worry is "can anybody" on our team tackle? It worries me that our Pop Warner groups tackle/hit better and harder than our HS right now. Is this seen anywhere else...in other communities? I'm not talking about blocking - we still are one of the few programs around that does do that. I'm talking about tackling. It's unsettling.

I actually thought SP did a better job tackling in this game then they did at Clover. Sandbagging must be a prerequisite in Belmont. That's a good football team guys. 72 might be the most dominant offensive lineman I've ever seen them have. Hale is an outstanding QB, that is the true definition of grit and determination playing on a bum wheel. Gibson, might be small but he is fierce and doesn't back down. 68 surprised me, for as tall as he is he fires out low and hard and works his way to the second level and Jones looked the best I've seen him last night.

Defensively they fly to the football. There isn't the one or two studs they have had in the past, but as a unit they play hard, they play smart and they play together.

I walked away impressed. Cramer isn't a bad football team. Scores are what they are, but I would think there's a level of respect from both squads and to label both of them below average is off. SP has the ability to win their conference for what the 20th year or something like that?

Best of luck to SP and Cramer this year.

What is bad to SP, would be really good to most teams. SP is SP, same as they ever was.

You are exactly right. They are a team that every team in the area should strive to be...and that's no knock on anybody. They roll in and take care of business and go home.
