Shaping up to be an interesting game, I was impressed with how Chase blew East Rutherford off the field. Yet, surprised at how closely RS Central played South Point last week. The Red Raiders should win by 30 plus, but could they get caught slipping, looking ahead to Shelby the following week. This game may be closer than some expect on account of that.

A co worker of mine, a fellow Lion brought this game up, and how important it actually is. Says he has a buddy in Henrietta, and will attend this game, since we are playing East Rutherford who is obviously way down this season.

I watched some of the game film of the south point/ RS game and the south point offense looked pretty .... Bla o_O sure didn’t look like the south point of years past. Idk if they were missing some guys or what but it sure didn’t look very good

What was the South Point RS Score?

SP will struggle rest of the year. Not the Red Raiders of recent years. Injuries have been tough this year.

Injuries have definitely been a major factor in the red raiders struggles this year. Despite all of the injured players the raiders have managed to keep the fans on the edge of their seats a few times this year. Those of us that have made some of the games know exactly what I am talking about. They have a lot of heart. I personally would like to see them mix it up a little bit with some mis-direction and trick plays. I think we are too one dimensional even on the best of days. If they don't play with ALOT of heart and change things up a bit, it could be a long night on any given week. maybe they will get a few of the injured players back in action and that will spark them the rest of the season. Those of you that are chuckling with me. Don't pick on me, I can dream if I want to.... RR

Tying to post, but my eyes are misty. LA likes us so much, he started a thread about our next game? Really touched, big guy!
Don’t take his kindness for a weakness ;)
I’m sure he still hates the Midgets with a passion ..... just not this week.
Or it could be he’s feeling good cause the Trojans may just maybe can beat south point something that Chase ...HAS NEVER DONE:D

IDK

He has shut it down for the rest of the season according to Inside Carolina.

Oh well, stick a fork into SP, they’re done. They were turning the corner, I really believed they were capable of catching a higher seeded team or two slipping, early exits out the playoffs.

I’d say Chase is better team from Ruth Co. Should be county champs this year. Oh what a shame it would be for the mighty wed waiders to come up short Friday nite. Be careful SP fans, Henrietta is just around the corner. You can’t ever tell what or who you gonna run into.

I bet they would feel right at home down off of Hog pen branch Rd ;) probably have family even :D

Last week got South Points attention I'm sure... I'd expect them to have no issues with Chase...

45-14 Raiders

Chase beat the following teams
0-9 East Gaston
0-9 East Rutherfordton
0-9 Madison
1-8 Rosman
1-8 Cherryville
2-7 East Henderson
5-4 Bessemer City

Their 2 losses were to Shelby and Burns. At halftime they were down 35-0 to Burns and 54-0 to Shelby.
South Point is no where close to where they typically are at this junction of the season and it appears Ray Grier is done for the season so Chase could certainly beat SP this week. It will not be a runaway victory for SP if they do win.

Chase's resume looks a lot like SP. The only difference is that SP didn't schedule enough patsies. Like us, they have only won one game against a team with a winning record.

Ray Rose is the right kind of player in the SP offense that’s into the secondary and scoring a touchdown before you know it. He is a stud and I think he will play well at UNC. I also thought that SP was turning the corner a little and could potentially upset a couple teams expecting to win early in the playoffs. Fighting injuries all year sucks, and with what they’ve had pile up this year I just think it’s too much. Chase wins this game and finishes third in the conference.

South Point was playing the best they were all year when they played us.

I think SP's best game of the year was against Burns. Since then we have played a lot of patsies that made them look better. The game against a stronger RS last week showed that SP is nowhere near where it should be. A floundering offense that isn't playing that well with all the missing players. And the late penalty last week against RS is the only reason we didn't lose that game. A pretty impressive win none the less considering they had to beat RS, the refs and our own coaches to win the game. Never seen that happen before.

Chase is going to beat us down like a Shelby woman after she hid her man’s porno. Bet your next check on it!

Wishful thinking at it’s best.

I bet he suits up for the playoffs.

BBB, we have never been about one or two guys. We are about sticking it to you over and over as a team. We have D1/Pro citizens that have learned that team comes first. We are home grown, home disciplined and home badasses! We don’t apologize or change true values for anyone. We’ll win Friday because we are a team who cares about us not them! It takes 2 boys from any other town to beat 1 boy from Belmont!

But it only takes one goat from Lawndale to make all you Belmont boys run home to momma.

Gotta respect this, 72. Well done! Because of this great post... I will forget that your high school’s claim to fame is multiple goats.
