Awesome night of football. Huge turnout of fans. Stands were full and even people standing around the fence. Made you think of a playoff game. Even the weather was real nice. I guess with the hype of the new turf for North Iredell which looks really nice probably made the difference for the crowd turnout.
As for the game the game was closer than what the scoreboard showed. N. Iredell had several chances of scoring but either penalties or South determination kept them out of the end zone.
South is young as a whole but I was impressed with their performance. Sophomore QB show signs of a quality leader and definitely have an impact in the future. They are young and will have growing pains this year but I see good potentials with this team in the future. I think they may had several penalties at most which was surprising. Any good luck for the future with this team.
