Heard earlier this week we had less than 40 head total show up. Probably not gonna field a JV team.

Heard the number was 35, also heard some other not so favorable things but really no point in pouring it out on here. Just have to hope for the best and see how things go.
Seen something the other day that surprised me, that stout Northside Jacksonville program we used to battle with every year in the playoffs has only won 2 games in the last 3 years, You never want your program to be THAT program but the truth of the matter is sometimes you run into stints that are simply less than favorable whether it be talent, turnout, drop in school numbers or whatever the case may be. Just have to stick by them and hope the powers to be can turn things around. Hoping for the best for my Stallions.

How can numbers drop so low for a program like South Columbus? Did kids all of a sudden lose interest in football?
I heard 40 showed up just for jv. One of us got some bad info.
Things have changed for High Schools all over the state. If you are around these kids at school you know what I'm saying. Phones ,computers ect.
South had pretty good numbers last season…

My Dad coached at Tabor City High School in the mid 1950’s. We were there when Hazel hit and the school fire.
You got a good coach there. With our the kids or talent nobody can turn it around. South Columbus use to reload each year. I wish you the best!!
Also my bad for not clarifying in my original post, 35 was the number I was told for Varsity. Have no clue what JV consist of.

If there’s any positive for South it was the interior defensive line … they atleast pressured the qb twice and clogged the middle at times…
OL was non existent… every position should be up for grabs Monday
Skilled positions looked slow but that’s gonna happen at the beginning of the year…
A lot of work to do hopefully this experience will help them understand the game alittle better…
