don't know much about SR. I know they lost to Fairmont. Anyone know how they look and what to expect?

Don't know much about South Robeson but I believe they run the wing-t. Just from seeing scores it looks like they are having a down year though.
They may be down but Coach Clay Jernigan and Coach Frank Jernigan will have them ready to play. You can count on that.
SR has good size but they do not block at all. There is not hardly any speed. They had a total of -31 yards against a pretty bad St. Pauls team. SC wins this one easily.
I didn't know Clay and Coach Jernigan were at SR. Frank was an assistant when I played for South under Coach Holley. I love that man and have a lot of respect for him. Hopefully he and Clay can get the Mustangs headed in the right direction.
This team is the worst u will play this year. Frank and company do good job but lack speed and heart. I think they finish last in conf. They also don't spend any money on facilities there. Hope Clay and Frank get out of there soon. They run wing-T

Honestly Stallion fans.....you know as well as I do that we needed a shake up....maybe some new with the old... Geeze lets all get on board and support this guy.....Everybody deserves a chance....
Answer me this....with the work ethic, pride, and desire we expect from our young men how many SC's have we gotten so far?.....huh ?????:

Okay get a new coach that swears BY THE "Wing T".....okay we are sitting at home come the week before Thanksgiving....saying "you just wait till next year"....we have been there and said that....

Hey I was willing to hop on board with the new guy but week after week of seeing no improvement gets old...You can't come to a place like Tabor City/South Columbus and get slapped around every week and keep your job... to many people(past players/coaches/boosters/parents) have put in their blood, sweat and tears into this football program to see it become the whipping boy.... I dunno if you've seen the Stallions in person but they lack the fundamentals of the game.... IMO when you've built a good, solid program you keep the hiring in house.....South was a team when you seen them on the schedule you knew you had to tighten up that chin strap alittle bit.... that hasnt been the case lately

Chip, I don't think it has so much to do with the players finally getting used to the system I think it has more to do with playing East/West Columbus. I mean we could run the same offensive play over and over the whole game and beat those guys.
Bottom line, the kids are just not responding to his methods. The one time I saw some improvment since he's been here was last year when Jake came back to help those few weeks.Besides that, the kids have stayed pretty bad and if anything gotten worse as some give up week to week.

He can run,pass. Whiteville does not need big holes to run ball,just seam. They are qiuck.

Red Springs defense is reason Whiteville only ran 71 plays in the game and only had 20 first downs. RS gets 2 TDs in last 3 minutes of game is the only reason it was close. Maybe you
need to stop blowing smoke up SC posters. First of year it was all about West Columbus. They have packed it in so it's South Columbus's turn.
Nobody who has watched SC play thinks they can win the conference.... It's whitevilles to lose right now.... But anything can happen.... GO STALLIONS

Lonnie, You are right a only couple post through the good and bad times at South Columbus. The Stalions lose the first four games ... Crickets (except the few). They beat Hallsboro middle, Central middle and Acme-Delco .... Wathc out !!!!! South Columbus conference champs.
That's right, we always believe there is a chance to win the conference. Do you feel like that Lonnie and Trench?? You can say crickets but did you go to any of those first four games South lost, plenty of support for the team from Stallion Nation. Go Stallions!!
If Whiteville doesn't win the conference, they got nobody to blame but themselves. Would love for South to win it, but may have to wait unless there is drastic improvement on offense. Scored lots of points the last few games but it was against the 3 weakest teams in our conference. Nobody is kidding themselves here in Vinegar Hill.

Sorry abouth the above post, but Jim BeAm and a message board on a Saturday nIght are not a good match. I came across a little harsch and I apoligoize. My point is ...The Stallions lose the first four games and you guys are ready to run the coach out of town and then you win a few (THat you should win) and everything is great again (See last season). IS it really great? Dirty Stallion I appreciate your post and honesty ( I know your answer). I have followed these boards for several years and just now posting. Back a couple years ago the board was packed wiith S. Columbus posters ... Where is Chip shot? Support yur school like Dirty, Core, tc and several others. The last month of the season going to be tough, stay positive and claim that championship/\. Sorry again about the post last night and good luck the rst of the season
SC has won last three games but no ones kidding themselves....we know they were three weak teams. What the last three games have done is build confidence with the players and it could...I said could lead to them shocking some other teams this year. I'm not saying conference champions....I'm saying getting more confident and being competitive from here on out. I will agree with a couple of posts....you better enjoy it this year because SC will get back on track.
No worries Trench, I also think it would make the boards much more fun if everybody would post whether their team was having a good or bad season. If you would go to a SC game it would quickly become evident why SC fans are so frustrated. South really has played much better the last 2 games offensively, not so much the East Columbus game, IMO. Defense looks much better and seems to get better each week but the offense still sputters a lot of the time. I really believe the plays the coaches are running on offense now are much better suited for South Columbus than those of the last 2 years. That being said, will these plays still be effective against tougher opponents? Still have plenty of times when they have a delay of game or don't have enough players on the field, that HAS to stop. Either way, the Stallions are much more confident than they were just 1 month ago. Just got to keep the faith and believe these players and coaches are going to give it 100% to win the conference, I truly believe that's the case and that is all we can ask for. Go Stallions!!
