South Columbus Stallions have to be feeling good after two consecutive weeks of close wins.... Fairmont seems to be playing lights out lately.... Will be an interesting one if SC can get to the QB....

Fairmont by two TDs

On another note how in the world did Whiteville beat Fairmont like they did ?? Seriously and no don't say the refs

I don't know how Whiteville beat Faitmont honestly. I know that SC needs to put pressure on QB and play pass D really well to win this one. I'm gonna give the edge to the underdog in this one. SC comes out with heart and a point to prove. If SC mixes their pass game in with the run game it will be deadly. For some reason they choose not to throw a lot. From what I've seen the QB can and needs to throw the ball a lot more. SC by one TD in this one. Let's go South!

I believe South Columbus must play the same style of offense they've played the last two weeks. They must take the air out of the football ( I'm not talking deflate-gate). Take time off the clock and cut down on the number of possessions Fairmont gets and let no one get behind you.

SOUTH COLUMBUS: A much improved South Columbus will come out with full force, a dominant running surprise and a rain storm of passing to be more effective than previously seen. They’ve won five games in a row now, so they’re playing with a lot of confidence and belief. What you saw before is not what you will see Friday night. What you observed between the Red Springs South Columbus game last night is why South Columbus is where it is- 2nd round. South Columbus is the truth.

FAIRMONT: There's much advantage with the home field but equally disadvantage with South Columbus thrilling pattern of consistency. It’s playoff football, where it’s about winning and continuing. Fairmont must not take this game lightly but rather play as powerful as the Ace Of Hearts.

Wishing much love and a healthy game to both teams, kids, and coaches.

I agree with Dollar, Fairmont must stop the running game. They have a better passing scheme than Whiteville so I think they will be able to score points. If South can limit their processions they will be in the game. I have Fairmont by a touchdown. South does have the type of running game that can wear down a defense in the 4th quarter.

Good points by JD and huntman, South has got to be able to run the ball consistently and give the defense some time to rest or it might be another long night for the Stallions. Also agree with Wing-t that SC does need to throw the ball a little more and keep the Fairmont defense off the line of scrimmage, can't let 9-10 men crowd the line and expect to run the ball effectively.

Hopefully run the ball hard like they always do and keep them off balance with the pass. Gotta play really good pass Defense as well against Fairmont.
I would suggest keeping the ball on the ground would be the best option for SC. Why change what's not broken?

Nice stats but any team that wants to get far in the playoffs has to mix the run and pass. South averages 4-5 passes per game. If you've been to a game you know the QB has the arm and ability to throw and we have receivers that can catch. When I say mix the run and pass I don't mean 50/50. I think a balanced 80/20 would keep the defense off balance. Right now South is about 95/5 or higher. Yes it's working but when you start playing better teams it won't work. I'm not being negative because I support SC, it's just my opinion. I think they can win Friday night against Fairmont and I'm hoping they do! It should be a good game!

I like South to win close game. I don't know how Whiteville beat them like they did.
But,SC has a streak and that good at playoff time. Fairmont can move and score quick.
JohnnyDollar has it right, take some time off clock, but not to point where it becomes an distraction. Knock rec. Off their routes some, don't let them get comfortable in routes
Play with no TURN OVERS.

If Fairmonts QB gets one inch of free space he will take off. He's really good at scrambling and finding the open man down field.
You're preaching the truth
SC should come play in pure confident spirits and challenge their adversity. To overcome adversity is to gain momentum. Ya'll should be just fine. Do not worry about what happened last game or what may happen this game. The main focus here for both Fairmont and SC is to get the win.

One thing is clear, you never win because you simply win....there should always be a After Action Review(AAR) and evaluate themselves after every game and always ask the questions:

How did we win?
What did we do different?
What was our positives?
What were our negatives?
What can we do better next time?

Wow..... 52-28, SC will have to do a lot of things different.
You are correct in a way, but equally being fair, they have been doing something different. That losing deficit stopped suddenly, they started winning and the consecutive tradition has not stop since. I am a Fairmont fan but I give them huge props on that. I believe they have met their near term goal(in a way) and now they are after their long term goal(without looking out that far into the horizon)

Big game. First prediction I've made this year.
SC - 32
F - 28
TC,
For your sake I hope you are on the money because what I am looking at is a 42 point game average, which is 10 points more than what you are predicting SC to end with on Friday. As said earlier 52-28 against SC the first time.

I agree SC has picked up the pace but how do you get 28?

Hopefully the special teams will be better for South this go around Swett. Remember that Fairmont got 14 points in the 1st qtr without even taking a snap. But I do know Fairmont is very capable of scoring a bunch of points in a hurry, hope South can weather an early storm if that happens and keep it close. Should be a heck of a game. Go Stallions!!

The way SC has been playing not only will your special team execute but so will your defense up against Fairmont. I truly believe that!

I can already see the fans on both sides on their toes.

I hope i'm right too! LOL!! I think special teams play will be better and the all around defensive intensity will be much better. Enough to hold them to 4 scores. We shall see, though.

The playoff system in NC is broken and needs a serious shot in the arm these brackets are stupid

Trench,
Thank you for a well said opinion and/or statement. Really appreciate it. As a Fairmont fan and an observer we all have to be careful with the use of words before any major game. No disrespect to you Trench. We shall also respect the opponent whether they are the underdog or the power house. In my opinion and my heart both Fairmont and South Columbus are of equal powers. At the end of the rainbow it is whoever overcome their obstacle. Through team effort and self belief one will be declared winner.
