All I can say is WOW. The best NC coaching hire in many years. Looks like the school landed a top coach and took this hire very seriously. I'm impressed.
South Caldwell graduate a lot of good kids this year so his task will be difficult. Kudos to the South Caldwell administration for thinking outside the box.

Still waiting on him to get here though. Around here, we have known for over a month and a half that he was the guy but there has been a lot of speculation about if he is coming or not. A lot of it is based on his wife not being able to find a job down here. I haven't heard any change in that and that makes me say I'll believe it when he is down here. I would say that I'm very close to the situation so that's all I'm saying. In no way am I saying this article is false cause it's not. They offered and he accepted but a lot of people still want to see him here before they get excited. I mean it's not like he is coming from Charlotte. And that has a lot of people around here worried.
Only 1 applied. Well, he was asked to interview so I don't believe he pursued it but he did interview because they asked him. Carters staff at South was made up of a lot of young guys who played for him mixed in with a few older guys. I don't know that many were ready to be a head man. But as a staff they were pretty darn good and great at getting the players to play hard for them. Wonder if any of them will be at SC or AC next year. Too good of coaches not to coach in my opinion.
