McMenomy stepped down at South Caldwell yesterday after an awful first season. He wasn't a fit from the get go with his offensive scheme and leaving the defense with nothing to work with. Never want to see a family have to leave but I know a lot of SC fans are rejoicing at the fact they will have a new coach. Marc Kirpatrick was named Acting Head Coach and I would fully expect him to be the man for the job. He should have gotten it last year. Hearing a lot of rumors around here that he will pretty much assemble the entire staff from 2 years ago that coached under Butch Carter so hopefully South gets back on the right track.

If you were around the program or knew anyone that was close then yeah you saw it coming. I don't think he was hiding the fact that he wanted out and some of his assistants that came with him let it slip that he was. So while that was bad for the kids, nobody is complaining that he is gone. They have the right guy for the job now.
