Post the scores as they come please. Cherokee might be in for a fight as I'm counting 61 Choctaw players dressed out! Biggest team I've seen them field in a long time

Braves can't do anything right. Had about 5 unsportsmanlike penalties. On the upside, as bad as we have played, still only 4 pts. behind at the half. Choctaw is HUGE. Don't think there's a team in the SMC that big!!

Swain 21, NH 19. NH returns the kickoff 99 yards for the score, but misses the point-after again. 8 minutes to go in the 3rd.

NH 25, Swain 21. 2-point conversion fails after a Swain turnover inside the 5 and a long answering drive. Still quite a while to go in the 4th.

NH 31, Swain 28. NH scores on a 30 yard missed-tackle screen pass, but misses the PAT again. 3:08 to go.

NH 31, Swain 28, final.

Turnovers killed the Devils in this one. They played well enough to win, but a fumble and an INT killed drives. Still, a young team played well, and they keep improving.

Hayesville lost 61-7 to Union county
I didn't think things could get any worse for Hayesville football after last season, but I was wrong.

I wouldn't be shocked to see 1 or 2 Jackets at Murphy next year. It is a fact that one of their best players wanted to quit and leave for Murphy after the Towns game but the young man's father wouldn't allow it.

The Hayesville football program as a whole may be in shambles but there's still a couple of very talented non senior skill position kids on the roster that could be key contributors elsewhere, in particular #9, who may be the most talented sophomore skill player in the conference.

I truly didn't think it could get worse either, though swain starting 0-3 and possibly even 0-5 after a tough Tuscola and Franklin team is an even bigger surprise

I think they got a good coach if given enough time.

Mont you are absolutely correct. After a few years of slow decay in the program, changes had to be made. As we all know when you make changes it takes time. Many good things are being instilled into the program. Hopefully they will begin to bear fruit soon.
