Simmons Spreads

Some of his spreads are a bit large. You guys should cover the 44 points, though. Madison lost to a 5-6 Polk County, a team y'all have played in the first round the previous 2 seasons, but then again, you know my thoughts when y'all play in the West. You may not struggle this game, but struggle is on the way, please believe it. If you guys are honest w/ yourselves, you all know that the west will be much tougher. That's why you have someone like Stan talking humble now, "one game at a time", he knows about this Westside.

Way Way off................Too many to detail......but IMO......way to big of a spread on a lot of games.......

No one of us expect to run through the playoffs the way we did the regular season, but we fully feel like if we play the way we're capable of, we can make a deep run in the playoffs. We feel the same as you guys

some of the spreads can be large at this point in the year with some teams in the playoffs that frankly shouldn't be there, but his success rate in predicting games across the footprint is pretty impressive. at the top of the page, he keeps a weekly record of his predictions and conservatively, he's 82% right for the year which is strong considering all teams across the state.

he's also pretty good at quantifying the difference between a good 7-4/8-3 team who's played a really tough schedule vs a 10-1 with a cupcake schedule in his power ratings

Does not matter where we come out of. When we won it out of the east we won the trophy by beating the west in the championship. So what is your point?

Your last state title in 2009 is quite awhile ago, bruh. Your statement about beating the west in the state championship is obviously true, but has Reidsville ever advanced to the state championship going through the west? No!!!! The road is much tougher on this side, whether you guys admit it or not. This is your 4th consecutive year playing in the west, and thus far, you guys haven't even advanced to the state championship game, and have suffered a couple of beatdowns along the way. Out east, you would have probably been in the championship game the past 3 years. Can help but hate on how easy you guys have it on that side. You're a big fish in a small pond, hardly ever getting challenged, especially in your conference. East Duplin showed tonight how pitiful your oppostion is in that conference by demolishing Graham, 77-0, putting up 70+ points on them just as you guys did. How in the heck is Graham that bad?!?!?.

But honestly, bruh, I'm retiring from this Reidsville vs Shelby thing. Obviously, the game isn't going to happen, so why waste energy on it, and if you guys do indeed win it this year, I will sincerely congratulate you all, tip my hat. It's going to be interesting. I can't figure Lincolnton out, how good they really are. The team that destroyed them recently, Maiden, got put out in the first round Friday night by two touchdowns. Oddly enough, Lincolnton is still my pick to win it all, w/ North Rowan being my dark horse. Reidsville appears to be the favorite, though, consensus wise. If Reidsville and Shelby both win state championships in their respective divisions. I will congratulate both, and there will be no energy wasted from me on who is really the top dog. We will both be state champions, and I will respect it, and leave it at that.

And I will tip my hat to you also. We have always respected your program but not some of your posters. I'm sure you guys feel the same. It just seems that some of you guys tend to have all the criticism about everone else. You've won it 3 times in a row. Great, we have done that before also. We have gone a few years without winning it. Yes, everone has done that including you. Since we have it tough this year, we will be consentrating on the teams in front if us. As you have stated I to will retire from this conversation. I hope that your kids continue to play hard. Good luck the rest of the way.

What's weird about this conversation is the fact that most high schools would just love to have ONE state title...unlike Reidsville and Shelby fans which have been spoiled by numerous titles over both of their long football histories....TWO of the greatest if not THE greatest programs in the state historical wise...............................

You know Reidsville has been east in 2011 and 2012 and didn't get to states. 2010 too but Reidsville wasn't very good that year. Reidsville wouldn't have made it to states last year no matter what. I think we have done pretty good in the west, 3rd and 4th rounds in 2013 and 2014.

But good post good luck to the lions, I think the Lions will have another blow out win Friday.
