I was glad to see you made it through the Lincolnton game in one piece. I was afraid that you would have got jumped and ended up in a dog pile with three other men, and came out of it missing two teeth, with an unwanted root canal, and a fake gold tooth.

Yeah man it was a nervous evening to say the least ! Had my holiday cookies for an exchange but was never approached ...

Left my son at home just in case he would be approached and asked why I am such a loser on the boards , and also he kept up with the " feed" for me whilst at the house !

Good luck to you as well ! Hope it's a great weekend for us both ...

Sorry we didn't get together Shebly Lion. I had to eat a cold hotdog and wanted the cookies with the dynasty insignia. I had a fruitcake for 98Champ for the exchange. I thought that would be appropriate.

Not a problem GDG! I had a slice of pizza and a water.... It was pretty good, but I had to eat the cookies alone.... The exchange never occurred.... I don't think 98Champ even showed up Friday night... He wasn't in his usual "Standing in the way near the sidelines playing football with the kiddies" like he normally does before he saunters to his designated seating area ... Perhaps someone got a restraining order on him until the playoffs ended??? Keep 1000 feet from the sidelines or players????
 
Off topic. Who are all those people on Shelby's sideline two deep that are asked to back off from the field at every game. Usually like 50 to 100 that are not part of the team. Are those just fans allowed to grace the sidelines.
 
I asked a couple folks that very question Friday night.... Been like that lately.... Not sure who all they are but they got us a sideline warning Friday night

Nobody should grace the field who are not film or media picture people. Good grief you already have twice as many coaches as anybody in 2A on the field and a bunch of people with the kids. Plus 57 players to take care of. Just seemed out of place and a distraction. Someone could easily get hurt or a fight break out.

There were numerous "extra" people on the Lincolnton sideline from mid field towards the field house side as well.

Crestrulz, we had Shelby Lion under surveillance from many angles in case assistance was needed.
 
Been in that "designated McMurry section" for over 4 decades now.....Terry.....Terry G. right? Yeah, funny how people come to us telling us about you. Was told you may have never actually played at Shelby? Couldn't believe it but is this true? We were represented well Friday night...would have loved to have met you GDG. You seem like a knowledgeable poster. We're not hard to find.....and actually pretty friendly folk. Had the Shelby QB from the early 70s representing, C/LS from the 72-73 era, WR from the 77-78 era, C/LS from the 97-98, and DE/LS from the 03-04 era. Should have even more of the crew this Saturday. "98 State Champion" is one big happy family! Safe travels to all who will be going.

Come on cheerduck (cheerwine duckworth...right?)....you've heard about one of us....laud and praise....laud and praise....nothing but good things right?!?!?!

(Oh yeah SL....and as far as LA's son, you blew that entirely out of proportion in an attempt to make us look bad and we discussed it with him off the board like men do. Feel free to discuss with him if you want. Looking forward to getting to know his son even more over the next 2 years. Approached, shook hands, hugged, congratulated about 20-30 players after the game Friday night....pretty fun getting to know these kids and you can tell it means a lot to them....you got a problem with that Terry?)

And most of the people on the sidelines are coaches from other schools (I know AC Reynolds coaches were there Friday night) and scouts and coaches from App that know Coach Ware.

Not my dog, nor my fight...cheap entertainment, though. (And I choose to take sides with my cookie exchange crew, if I must declare.)

As for the people on the Lincolnton sidelines...it was just people...fans...who walked out there, for no good reason except that they wanted to, and nobody stopped them... Unusual at the least, dangerous at worst. I would have enjoyed being there myself, but was certain the PoPo would cart me off...maybe next time. I've never seen that anywhere else.

I don't think anyone is worrying about their name that has given as much information as you that would make you discovered. And has their son as an avatar.

I personally have told as many as want to know who I am in person and shook hands. Even those I have cracked on for my pure pleasure.

I do have a personal stalker from these boards. Followed me to dinner to find me when I posted where I would be with one of the posters. Should have seen him going from dining room to dining room trying to find a guy with a red Newton cap on. But I fooled him, I new he would come so I took it off and watched him frantically going thru the restaurant before a game. Even road by the house slowly a couple times once he found out. Not good. I take stalking me personal. I don't do it and I hope he doesn't find it entertaining because I take it serious and will react accordingly if confronted.

.the trio....didn't know who this character was. Last week someone enlightened us. You really think we thought we were letting the cat out of the bag....haha that's hilarious.

Top right corner the the left side of the press-box facing the field, and I'll buy you a sammich. Ask for " The Street Dentist" They'll know who you're talking about..

Sadly GDG I'm not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing ... Ha ha

Not only do most know who I am in real life but the majority know I couldn't count my toes and get the same number twice .... It's all about having fun but yet I have went a little overboard here and now trying to make up for it with a cookie exchange but I don't think 98 will go for it ...
Well I'm trying to extend that olive branch anyhow

Rowdy is going to be upset. I will attempt to tell him that finally someone we learned was in our county has used his ace for no good. His source, remaining nameless, unless he feels it to his benefit to out her, will only know of his stupidity and character flaw if and only if he tells her.

Character is something you have and use when no one is looking.
